Where can I find the nomenclature related to voting? (ex. Keep, Speedy Keep, Merge, etc) Is there a formal list I should be aware of? SacredSunflower (talk) 01:54, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's best if you stick to the ones already in common use rather than make up new ones or use less-frequent ones (unless you really need to). These are often referred to as !votes rather than votes to keep everyone reminded that these discussions are not decided by simple majority rule.
So, at a deletion discussion, the basic !votes are Keep or Delete. Sometimes people add qualifiers of "Strong" or "Weak". Words like "Speedy" or "Snow" are added to indicate an opinion that the discussion is not really needed. The option to "Merge" is sometimes used to indicate that some of the material from the article up for deletion might be suitable for adding to a related, different article, but basically agreeing that the article needs to be deleted. Similar is a !vote to "Redirect", specifying a target article.
In other kinds of discussions, such as RFCs, the main !votes are "Support" and "Oppose", with similar modifier options.
I'm not aware of a centralized list, but it's possible one exists. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 02:58, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
