Invitation to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Thanks for cleaning up BTS discography, however, while doing so, you removed the ref name from below the US peak for Love Yourself: Her, which is needed there as the source in the header of the table does not (yet) contain it, as it is only recent. Ss112 18:47, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

GOT7 Discography

Hello co-editor,

I believe you made an incorrect edit regarding GOT7's discography. TWICE's reissues regarding Twicecoaster: Lane 1 and it's Christmas edition is the same as GOT7's Present: You and Present: You and Me. It is a Christmas edition of the same album. Sorry, but the previous edit was not correct. Twice's Twicecoaster: Lane 1 has a Christmas re-edition so the track listing didn't change. However Got7's Present: You and Me has new material, with 12 new tracks plus the 16 tracks rom the original release, so it's considered a reissue. Rockysmile11^(talk) 22:24, 21 November 2019 (UTC)

GAON counted this as a reissue, the original edit even gave the source and credit to that. This is the same effect as their album 7 for 7 which had the same exact reissued effect.(Tyrellsa (talk) 22:34, 21 November 2019 (UTC))

7 for 7 had re-edition titled 7 for 7 Present Edition and Gaon regarded as the same album when it was released on December 7, 2017 with no change in tracklisting. Same for Twicecoaster: Lane 1 on December 19, 2016. However both Mad Winter Edition and Present: You and Me have separate charting on Gaon since they consider them as a separate release from the main album with new tracks. I'm sorry but what you’re allowing is called ‘sales coupling’ and TWICE has also done this with their album Twicecoaster: Lane 2 as well which added songs but their sales are still coupled; that is why GOT7’s reissue of Present: You and Present: You and Me are coupled within all reports given from Hanteo and GAON. Updated sales reports for them are also incredibly off with GOT7 with the edits you have made.(Tyrellsa (talk) 23:04, 21 November 2019 (UTC))

Again, both of the albums in your examples were treated as separate releases. I don't see anything that implies that I am competing with you. I always regularly edit K-pop discographies and so happened that my recent cleanup edits on Victon aligned with the Gaon Chart updating, so I did it. Rockysmile11^(talk) 02:26, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

You didn't just update Victon, you went to update NCT discography after as well. I said "competing" because while I know you update Korean artists' discographies, you don't ordinarily do so at the time or shortly after the Gaon charts update. I do this every week, so I think I know if other users have gotten to it before I have. I don't want to feel I have to rush to do things (as I ordinarily go down a chart, not jump around it) because other users will jump ahead of me to update the articles of acts they are fans of. If part of the reason for your "cleanup" edits is a concern over there being up-to-date information on these artists' articles, no need to worry: I have it covered. Ss112 02:32, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
