Nazca lines
The Nazca lines are a group of geoglyphs made in the soil of the Nazca Desert in southern Peru. They were created in two major phases – the Paracas phase (from 400  to 200 BC) and the Nazca phase (from 200 BC to 500 AD). The combined length of all the lines is more than 1,300 km (800 mi), and the group covers an area of about 50 km2 (19 sq mi). Most lines run straight across the landscape, but there are also figurative designs of animals and plants. Scholars differ in interpreting the purpose of the designs, but in general, they ascribe religious significance to them. The lines were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. OK, not straightly vandalism, though it would have been better to address the situation first on the talkpage, this looked a bit like spam, sorry for that. The references tag had an error, it read <references>, but it should read <references /> (so with the trailing /) .. I have repaired it. Sandbox[edit]

Hi Robin,

Actually the best way to make new articles - would be to make them under your user page using a sub page - that way you know where it is and it is yours do as you please (mostly). So for example lets say you wanted to make an article on "Killer penguins". Either write User:Robin63/Killer penguins in the GO tab, and create the article with new content, or write http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Robin63/Killer penguins in the browser url bar. Note the forward slash makes it a subpage, and you can have subpages of subpages. See Wikipedia:Subpages.

So to carry on the example here is the Killer penguins start for an article - User:Robin63/Killer penguins

User group for Military Historians[edit]

"Military history" is one of the most important subjects when speak of sum of all human knowledge. To support contributors interested in the area over various language Wikipedias, we intend to form a user group. It also provides a platform to share the best practices between military historians, and various military related projects on Wikipedias. An initial discussion was has been done between the coordinators and members of WikiProject Military History on English Wikipedia. Now this discussion has been taken to Meta-Wiki. Service awards and barnstars are given for set points thresholds, and the top three finishers will receive further awards.
