AfD nomination of Karen Seal[edit]

I have nominated Karen Seal, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Karen Seal. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Guy0307 (talk) 11:51, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion about the Karen Seal article[edit]

There's an ongoing discussion here that you may be interested in adding some comments to. In addition, someone in the discussion suggested that you contact us via email (we have a dedicated system where screened volunteers can answer emails). As indicated in the linked discussion, we have a policy of deleting articles about people at their request in certain circumstances (famous people like Dick Cheney do not qualify, but it might be OK in your case). Cheers.--chaser - t 03:30, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello everyone. Reid here. I'm not the vandal, I'm the author and there have been no other contributors. If you read the passage of the article on Karen Seal, her earlier work was on reducing accidental overdosing by injection drug users. That work follows the under the rurbric of "harm reduction" which is what I'm doing by requesting that the article be deleted. As the author, I believe I do own it. Dr. Seal requested that the article be removed as it may create an impediment with her work treating disabled veterans. Thus, leaving the article posted, at this point, is in violation of the subject's request as well as may create harm. --Reidthaler

Hi, Reid. You ask if a request from her would suffice for deletion -- the only way to find out is to give it a try. You have the Contact Us link two paragraphs up -- a request from her work email would be most useful, as it would tend to establish her identity best.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 11:51, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I know you mean well, but you can't keep blanking the article. That is considered vandalism, even though you're attempting to do the right thing. Do you know what her particular objection to keeping the article is? Maybe it's something you can remove, leaving the rest.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 11:54, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since there is no source, I had to nominate it for deletion here. Government source is not enough. You at least need the URL as well. Guy0307 (talk) 06:09, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Enough with the warnings already -- an admin should block this guy, he's had enough warnings. Nomoskedasticity (talk) 14:09, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
See here for instructions -- but be aware that a request like this does not automatically result in deletion, and deletion seems unlikely given the existing discussion on deletion that you have already contributed to. Nomoskedasticity (talk) 14:11, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked for a period of 3 hours from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for continued removal of material. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
