Notability of A.C.M[edit]

A tag has been placed on A.C.M, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. janejellyroll 02:15, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make personal attacks as you did at A.M.C. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. Leuko 02:29, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have recently recreated or reposted material at CAMDC which previously was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate this article without prior approval from an administrator or you may be blocked from editing. We ask that you respect what Wikipedia is not. If you disagree with the article's deletion, you may seek an independent deletion review. Leuko 02:30, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you create an inappropriate page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. James086Talk | Email 02:32, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that Wikipedia is not for things made up in school one day. Your group does not give a reason as to why it is notable enough for an article. You would need to cite multiple sources that are independant (like a newspaper, not a website that is created by the group) and are articles/stories/websites etc specifically about your group. Please don't take this personally but I highly doubt that your group can do that. James086Talk | Email 02:43, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Responding to the message on my talk page[edit]

I did not delete your article (A.C.M.), but I did tag it for speedy deletion (an administrator actually did the deleting). The reason I tagged it actually explained quite well by James086. Again, if you can document that your group actually is notable, then feel free to recreate the article. This isn't "stupid," it is basic Wikipedia policy. If you don't like it, then you are free to go to the applicable policy pages and try to win people over to your point of view. I didn't have anything to do with tagging your friend's article. Please let me know if you have any more questions or concerns. janejellyroll 02:48, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Runescape Scams[edit]

A tag has been placed on Runescape Scams, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
