Apologies![edit]

You were wondering where all the discussion went from the peer review? Well I've put it back. Sorry about that, it got lost in the transfer of the redesignCuaHL 03:19, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No no I was in a complete mess and hadn't realised I'd done something wrong! Heh. If you need any help with Wikipedia, feel free to ask me at any time. I don't mind helping everyone out, and I've been here long enough to know a few tricks ;) — CuaHL 14:53, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: FFXI character classes[edit]

Thanks for the thanks! I've been meaning to get something done about the character class articles for ages, so its cool that our goals were able to coincide =) >Gamemaker 20:48, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your VandalProof Application[edit]

Dear RaCha'ar,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.1 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that unfortunately you do not meet the 250 mainspace edit minimum. Please try again soon.. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. - Glen TC (Stollery) 05:07, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Sure no problem...I just need to brush up on my templates. So I'm thinking about using Vandal Proof. Would you recommend it? Adambiswanger1 02:11, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Final Fantasy Classes[edit]

Hi, I add new classes because it is incomplete, and I don't know how to merge the articles yet , because of this I need hlep. I'm sorry for any inconvince. I am enjoy being a Wikipedian and am egar to give it a higher quality. I'll do the best I could to correct my mistakes. From ShadowKinght.

Re: Help needed at the Jobs sub-project of WPFF[edit]

Sorry, I didn't recieve your message until just now. My advice would be to simply merge and redirect the articles in question and to leave a polite post about it on the user's page and point them to the wikiproject. --JiFish(Talk/Contrib) 15:18, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good evening. There have been some new facts and evidence presented in the discussion since your last edit. When you have a minute, would you mind taking the time to revisit the discussion? Thanks. Rossami (talk) 22:18, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Generally, nominations do not get reviewed within a few hours of nomination, they take a few weeks, which is what I expected. Many times it is helpful to "put the article inline" and keep working on it. Oh well, nothing catastrophic, we'll just keep working on it! :) Judgesurreal777 20:14, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, great work with the article, trimming and all. Could you do me a favor, and as you fix different things, would you delete them off the to do list? I am eager to help out, but an not sure what has been fixed :) Thanks! Judgesurreal777 02:48, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spoiler Tags[edit]

It looks like to me that the link:FF Spoiler tag is just discussion not "policy" or even a guideline. Under WP:CVG under WP:CVG#Style fourth bullet point it states:
Make sure to use the {{spoiler}} and {{Endspoiler}} tags when appropriate.
To me it was appropriate in this location. It should be noted that List of Final Fantasy III characters, List of Final Fantasy IV characters, List of Final Fantasy V characters, List of Final Fantasy VII characters, List of Final Fantasy X characters, and List of Final Fantasy XII characters. Yet, please don't remove them until the discussion can be resolved and communal agreement reached. --Pinkkeith 21:24, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was chem/biochem, so not a whole lot of overlap there. I'd like to get back east at some point...I don't have a chance to make it back to campus very often from out here, but it seems like there are lots of exciting changes a foot. WildCowboy 16:35, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sorry about that.[edit]

List looks good![edit]

I think you've already got this narrowed down nicely, Deckiller. My next suggestion for cleanup is to remove the list-within-lists where certain monsters get bulleted points for their appearances - Chimera is the biggest offender here. It adds unnecessary length to the article. Thoughts? -RaCha'ar 16:14, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's what I was doing. I hadn't even finished compressing the article yet, let alone even considered copyediting the prose. I got tired early last night :) Let's make this projet even more GODLY! — Deckiller 00:15, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My current idea is find the ten most prominant creatures, and then an "others" section for the rest. An "overview" will be placed below the leadoff section. — Deckiller 02:09, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User:Deckiller/Beastmen (Final Fantasy XI)[edit]

Because people will object, I decided to merge the beastmen info into another article. Becuase you're the XI expert, mind cleaning it up? I just merged the info, so I'm not sure how accurate or high quality it is. — Deckiller 18:38, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, can you see that line in there where it refers to "decomposing as retarded"? Is that correct? Or is it vandalism? Thanks. Power level (Dragon Ball) 14:56, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Final Fantasy XI[edit]

Hey, do you have the manual for Final Fantasy XI, since you're a player? I don't have any real way to source the XI material on the character class page, unless they detail the classes on the official website. Thanks — Deckiller 18:20, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Basically, I'm trying to cite practically every statement in the article with either a manual, primary website, developers info, or a secondary source like an official strategy guide. It will help assert notability and make the article stronger, perhaps enough to give it GA. — Deckiller 23:51, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty much the same information of the other manuals already cited on the class page. Year, publisher, perhaps editor, page you got the info from, title, id number (the SLUS thing). — Deckiller 00:23, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FFXI FA push[edit]

Glad to hear it :) By the way, while you're working on it, could you "merge" the XI class list into the article (as just an explanation so that we don't have that subarticle)? — Deckiller 15:39, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, and the article already covers classes enough, so there's no need to merge. There is a new transwiki movement growing, so the list might end up being transwikied in the future (right now, it doesn't have enough out of universe perspective). Although it might be able to stand on its own if a section about development, influences, and how it changed MMOs can be added. — Deckiller 23:16, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FFTA Job Classes[edit]

Hey. This is the user that did the earlier revisions for the FFTA Job Class pages (mostly at the end of August 2006), cleaning up the excess ability information and uploading the class pictures. Gotta check since you seem to have handled it the best- are all the pictures sourced properly as character art if they're still even extant? I trust your judgement, though. ShiraShira 15:16, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More on FFTA[edit]

The thing was, I remember uploading each individual job-class official art and tagging them properly. It's understandable that with the current orginazation of the classes page most of the images would have been removed, but deleted?

How about something like one job per race? I see we've already got the Nu Mou and Viera pictures. ShiraShira 22:42, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FFXI[edit]

Hey; are you still interested in that FA push? CharFF8 and FFXII are up for FAC status right now, so perhaps we can get started after their noms are done? I notice you haven't been around much, however. — Deckiller 00:49, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FFTA Jobs (!)[edit]

Sorry to bug you again, but it appears the Jobs article you worked so hard on has been turned into a redirect. Was that you, or is that...? ShiraShira 23:51, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Was I one of the ones?...[edit]

I'm new to the FF project, and what you said about the new crew - was I one of the ones that pissed you off? If I was, I'm sorry.

If, on the other hand, I'm not, then I feel exactly the same.

Good luck with future endeavors!KrytenKoro 06:15, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Main Page appearance: Final Fantasy XI[edit]

This is a note to let the main editors of Final Fantasy XI know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on May 16, 2013. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or one of his delegates (Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), Gimmetoo (talk · contribs), and Bencherlite (talk · contribs)), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/May 16, 2013. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:

Final Fantasy XI is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), developed and published by Square as part of the Final Fantasy series. Designed and produced by Hiromichi Tanaka, it was released in Japan on May 16, 2002 for Sony's PlayStation 2, and for Microsoft Windows-based personal computers in November of that year. The game was the first cross-platform MMORPG and the Xbox 360's first MMORPG. The story is set in the fantasy world of Vana'diel, where player-created avatars can both compete and cooperate in a variety of objectives to develop an assortment of jobs, skills, and earn in-game item rewards. Players can also undertake an array of quests and progress through the in-game hierarchy and thus through the major plot of the game. Since its debut in 2002, five expansion packs have also been released along with six add-on scenarios. In 2006, between 200,000 and 300,000 active players logged in per day, and the game was the dominant MMORPG in Japan. Final Fantasy XI has a user base of around 500,000 subscribers, and the total number of active characters exceeds 2 million. It is the most profitable title in the Final Fantasy series. New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi RaCha'ar,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
