2011 Cannes Film Festival[edit]

Hi, I saw your recent edit you made at 2011 Cannes Film Festival, I am talking about Marché du Film - Indian delegation, but does it really belong in the article, I mean Marché du Film is the business counterpart of the Cannes Film Festival not related to things we are discussing in the article itself. There are other countries delegations also sent at Marché du Film each year, why not add them also? I think this information will be better situated at Marché du Film instead of 2011 Cannes Film Festival. I am waiting for your reply on this matter. Regards --Jockzain (talk) 14:38, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

For 2011 article, I am removing it as you agreed. For 2013 article, why not make a separate section after parallel's because Marché du Film is a business market, what I am trying to say with the information and references you have provided it can be developed into a separate section at 2013 Cannes Film Festival, in that way you can add more information and films in it and make it better bit by bit. It's only a suggestion, what do you think.--Jockzain (talk) 14:47, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Cannes film Festival officially invite a country and it's delegation head their to represent their country in 2013 it was India, which was invited at Cannes see the source here http://www.festival-cannes.com/en/article/59564.html, to celebrate one hundred year anniversary of Indian cinema. It can developed into separate section and your references coupled with more information can be added properly to provide information about this event. Secondly, regarding 2011 Cannes Film Festival Indian is not the only country which sent it's delegation at Cannes apart from India many other countries send their delegations also and has been sending them for many years, so it is not too much important to include in the article because previous articles contain none of these information, also from this source http://www.festival-cannes.com/en/article/59564.html which is Cannes Festival official website it is clear that Egypt was officially invited by Cannes in 2011 as India was in 2013. So if any country's delegation name should be there it should be Egypt.--Jockzain (talk) 15:01, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You are right about emptying sections but now I search for it there are so many good references and information available online regarding this topic. I still think it can be added into the article in proper way but needs proper work and time, right now I am too busy to work on it but I will talk to other editors regarding this matter, maybe they will come up with something good. Anyways, thanks for engaging in a conversation with me. Happy editing. Regards--Jockzain (talk) 15:32, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Son of alladin dvd cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Son of alladin dvd cover.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or

You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. Film festival additions[edit]

Kindly please stop adding "The film was premiered ... the 20xx Cannes Film Festival." for films that were not actually premiered there. If they were just shown there years later it doesn't matter. BollyJeff | talk 14:22, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The word premiered means first time ever shown. That happened many years ago for MI did it not? Please give me the Cannes website URL where I can read about this. BollyJeff | talk 15:49, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The Cannes Film Festival incident for Mother India seems irrelevant in the lead; instead it will look better in the article's "Legacy" section. And Pushpakan, kindly watch the way you communicate with other users (typing in all-capital letters will be considered shouting/bashing/rude, so please avoid it). October 21[edit]

Dear Pushpakan,

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. One of the fundamental principles we use in Wikipedia is Wikipedia:Assume good faith. I edited October 21 and found a claim of a holiday for that date, linked to Indian Police Service. However, that article does not mention October 21, so in good faith, I removed the entry. This was not "nonsense" and it was not "vandalism". Now the holiday has been entered again, this time linking to Central Reserve Police Force, which does mention the date of October 21, and that supports the entry for October 21. Please assume good faith, please do not assume a bias or vandalism against a nation, and please do not threaten going to an arbitration committee. That is way too extreme for sorting out the issue right at the beginning. If you wish to reply, please reply here and not on my talk page. —Anomalocaris (talk) 18:16, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
