Thanks!
Thank you Alai for the warm welcome. I am still reviewing the means of participating and am doing what I can to stay within the rules and contribute at the same time. I take your recommendations seriously and will review the articles you have suggested.
I took a look at your user page and I must say thank you very much. You have contributed tremendously to this project and I personally appreciate it. Keep on truckin' Alai!
I am a fan of Wiki and give money as well as my time. I think this is one of the greatest projects ever undertaken. I view it as a project that will eventually act as a repository for all human knowledge. Like the Federation Database in Star Trek. With over a million articles I'd say Wiki is off to a good start but we still have a long way to go. It's going to be a lot of fun getting there! :-)

Fascism portal maintenance[edit]

Hello Proofing. I'm in the process of making a major update to Portal:Fascism and I'm looking for editors to give me a hand maintaining it. I notice you contributed to it back when it was active a few years ago. Could you please help out? I've nominated a few articles for the selected article section that I'd like your vote on at Portal:Fascism/Maintenance. Thanks. Ecto (talk) 23:04, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

November 2010[edit]

In a recent edit to the page One Ring, you changed one or more words from one international variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Carl Sixsmith (talk) 09:50, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
