Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello Professormichael, and and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Drop us a note at Wikipedia:New user log so we can meet you and help you get started. In the meantime, here are a few good links for newcomers:

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, add a question to the Village pump, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. (A note on process: Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.)

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome!     —ERcheck @ 02:53, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Technically, under our policies, you can't just simply add links to your websites from articles, as it is advertising. Others can add a link, but not someone directly involved. I'm terribly sorry, and I'm sorry if I am taking this too far. Oh, and I am not a "keeper of the TV pages", and no one else is. That is also not allowed. Again, sorry. --WCQuidditch 01:03, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What I'm trying to say is that it is perfectly fine as a source (as you appear to sometimes be doing), but don't add it too rapidly like an advertiser would do. That's why we encourage you to add content, not just links, to the encyclopedia. Several of your edits consist of simply adding the external link. In the future, you can still add it as a source, but be careful if you haven't added any content from there to an article. Again, I'm sorry if I have took this too far. Thanks. --WCQuidditch 10:52, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
