Hi Poulsen. I just created this article. I haven't found much about his short time in Brøndby though. Could you help with the stats and a ref? Rettetast (talk) 01:21, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Great work. I have credited you at WT:DYK. Rettetast (talk) 12:27, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Roger Helland[edit]

Updated DYK query On December 6, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Roger Helland, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Orphaned non-free image File:Plunder Island.JPG[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Plunder Island.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Thanks for your BLP sourcing work[edit]

Hi Poulsen. Your work on sourcing BLPs is greatly appreciated. Please note that much of the BLP-unref tagging is done by dumb bots that check for inline cite tags like <ref></ref> and a <references/> section. If you place your sources in the "External links" section, the bots may not identify the source and likely re-tag it as unreferenced. I have modified some of your sources accordingly. Thanks again. Power.corrupts (talk) 15:02, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Oscar Jørgensen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. PhGustaf (talk) 23:29, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the reference in the above article, and reinserted the BLPunreferenced tag.

[www.cellist.nl www.cellist.nl] is not a reliable source of information - anyone can register and add information. There is no checking of the details - I think they only check it if someone contacts them and says "this entry is wrong".

I did look for references for Dieltiens, but all the mentions which I could find were very minor ones ("This work was performed by Roel Dieltiens....." kind of thing), and nothing significant about him.

I am going to PROD it, as I couldn't find reliable sources, but I thought I'd let you know why I removed the reference.

Hi there POULSEN, VASCO from Portugal here,

(by the way, i loved Flemming Povlsen as a player - from what i read in NATIONAL-FOOTBALL-TEAMS.com, he still returned as an amateur player in Denmark in the late 1990's/2000's after he retired in Germany with those serious injuries - but i see you are more of a Christian Poulsen-man! Good player too, with a different approach, although Povlsen was a hard-worker too) Regarding your message and work on Lauridsen:

I apologize if i created any incovenience(s) with my edits, was only trying to help. In no way was i trying to diminish the player's career with the national team. It's just that as storyline reads - don't know if you wrote it - he was fourth of fifth-choice in the squad, with several other players in front of him.

I admit i haven't spent much time reading WP:LEAD, but i always thought the intro should be as summarized as possible, with the most important aspects of his career. I remember reading once one review on Daniel Güiza which had almost as many lines in intro than in body of article, that is incoherent to say the least. All this said, don't worry, i won't revert the stuff at Lauridsen's anymore. You can also have a look at my work in Michael Manniche, and see what changes are "appliable".

Maybe we can work together as a team, sorry for any incovenience on my part, have a nice weekend, VASCO - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 13:14, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Baldur's Gate characters[edit]

I'm wondering if characters like Adalon, Belhifet, and Bodhi are better merged into List of Baldur's Gate characters? Alaundo exists in the tabletop RPG as well, so I think he is fine in main FR characters list. 24.148.0.83 (talk) 17:19, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I do think that including characters that have only appeared in computer games in that list only is the most appropriate thing (crossover characters are another story), so what do you recommend on a sort of heading to be used? 24.148.0.83 (talk) 18:03, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That looks like a good layout. The PCs should get top billing, but there are other memorable characters in the game that deserve some mention. 24.148.0.83 (talk) 22:23, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I rewrote the lead a bit, and put in an extra header level on the characters that were there, since I am assuming they were potential PCs in the game. I haven't played any of the BG games myself, so please do go back over anything I did and make sure it is accurate - sorry. :) I will move Adalon and Bodhi to this article, and I will look to see if there is anything else that should be moved/merged there. 24.148.0.83 (talk) 17:28, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Christiansen - Reply[edit]

Hi there POULSEN, VASCO here,

again, i am sorry if i offended you or caused incovenience, anger management problems (and i am being 100% honest with you, not being sarcastic at all). One great thing in Thomas Christiansen's page you did - and i accused you of doing the opposite - was removing the birthplace from INTRO and relocate it to body of article, my sincere apologies.

Now, for more "details of defense" (and you are right, it's always best to start with a talkpage discussion, instead of summary "rubbish"): i have always seen the word "football" in the player's articles, it was the first time i saw it as "association football", honestly. I don't think the "football player" is very accurate, because it gets repetitive "...is a football player who plays for..."

The INTRO changes were due to the fact that i don't see ANY sense in repeating words/sentences which also appear in storyline, the introduction has to be much much more "elusive" if you will.

In conclusion, no, i don't think i own WP, nor do i create any set of rules for others to follow, but i do admit that my summaries sometimes do suggest that.

Happy 2010 World Cup, happy editing, sorry again. Oh, and do you know if the great Søren Busk is related to the player (also defender) now called-up? Cheers, keep up the great work, from Portugal - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:46, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sincerely hope you are not angry with me, although i can't do much about it if you choose to be so: i apologized for my manners and WP approach, then tried to discuss some "wikitactics" (footballer vs. football player), asked you a friendly question and...nothing! I think we strive towards the same goal (each one of us with different tactics, i REALLY wished i could be a little more calm and patient), and as long as serious limits are not crossed, all can be talked and arranged. Cheers - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 01:04, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • No man, i wouldn't say "rude", AT ALL. But i was a bit concerned you were a bit angry with me...Hey, i think sometimes i deserve it :) - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 09:02, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 23:15, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Koman Coulibaly[edit]

I know you're doing your best to be careful,

But your removal of the reference to the Facebook page did not rely on a link to a non notable facebook page, but to the Reuters article that mentions this as one of two previous controversial incidents involving this referee. T L Miles (talk)

Your summary reads: (→Early career: remove nonnotable facebook group - Monday article doesn't mention all its hate pages.. move refs around to properly cover the "disputed" claim). The point being a Facebook group is not notable as a topic (for its own article), nor is it an acceptable source for a reference. But you appear to have misunderstood this by removing talk in a Reuters article (a valid ref source) reporting on a Facebook group. Notability guidelines, per Wikipedia:Notability "On Wikipedia, notability determines whether a topic merits its own article. " and so isn't relevant here. I'm going to restore the mention of the Facebook group begun after a Tunisian match he officiated calling for his removal by FIFA unless you have some other concern with this. I'll hold off until tomorrow in case you'd like to take this to arbitration first. Thanks! T L Miles (talk) 21:52, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Mikkel Lentz has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

A kitten for you![edit]

Tnx for your help with the "decategorization" of Danish athletes, I wanna tell you that for the category that start with same letter of the alphabetic order, sorting it's not necessary. It's not necessary to put "Danish" after "Category:Discus throwers" for example, because also without the sorting is OK. You can tray ;)

You should add interwikis in new categories ;) 89.70.182.42 (talk) 03:48, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How you can see are different categories. For example the paralympic japanese athlete Kazu Hatanaka must to be into Category:Japanese wheelchair racers not into Category:Japanese long-distance runners. It follows that the categories of Athletics must be removed by Paralympic athletes. If you want to enter the category of specialty must do so correctly (as in the example I mentioned). --Kasper2006 (talk) 03:53, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
