Son Goku Article

On the Goku article, you make the edit where you changed Kakarot and Kakarrot to Kakarotto. Anime and Manga names are what names the use in the english versions of the anime and manga respectively. I changed them back to what they're suppose to be. Ryu Ematsu

I never made such an edit, not recently anyway. The most recent edit I made to that article was italicizing Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, and spliting a paragraph. // DecaimientoPoético 18:52, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
I check the history and it came back to you. Before that, someone vandilized the page. So... yeah. ^^;; Ryu Ematsu

Naruto Heroes and Portable

I hope you don't mind me bringing this up here, but how do you know for sure that Heroes and Portable are completely new games? The spokesperson for Bandai America is lying about the whole thing, if you know what I mean. Here's my observations on the whole thing:

-Notice the screenshots on Siliconera? They are in Japanese. The spokesperson says that the game is being made in Japanese, whcih explains why the game is not in English. That is a false statement, and I am very surprised they would say such a thing. For one, they do not need to make it in Japanese first if it is a game being made for America. They would make it in English! Elite Beat Agents is made in Japan, yet it was never developed in Japanese. This points to Heroes being Portable.

-The "new" tag-team system is not "new". This battle system is used in Portable's story mode. This is why they are keeping quiet about the Japanese story mode and not posting pictures of it. This is another part of the marketing ploy to somehow make it look like the game is "new".

-The menus are the same! I have some pictures if you would like to see them.

-The story mode is getting the axe to make the game have more of the "battle anytime, anywhere" aspect which is mentioned in the trailer.

Once when the game comes out, I'm sure Siliconera will be having an article on this whole thing. I mean, can't you see through this marketing ploy at work? I don't know anyone that believes it. Hopefully, you and I can get the word out about this once I can get more info when the game is actually released. I was the one that exposed the Uzumaki Ninden edits, so don't be surprised if I pull this off. ;)

Once again, I have some comparison shots, and I can post them if you would like to see them.Kylemcauliffe15 01:17, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Kylemcauliffe15

You can hold onto those for a second. Please see the discussion here to understand why, if you haven't already seen it. // DecaimientoPoético 01:29, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

So, should I post them there? Or wait until you have all of the games switched over? I don't mean to sound clueless, I just don't really know what you are doing at the moment. (aside from moving the games onto one page)Kylemcauliffe15 15:11, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Kylemcauliffe15

Adminship is... serious. I may say that I want to become one right away and think I'm truly ready for it after a year's time on Wikipedia, but I don't want to get in over my head. I'll check out the coaching, and I'll consider the possibility of accepting an RfA or filling out my own.

Tenkaichi 3 Piccolo

What's the difference between Piccolo (Early) and Piccolo (Mid)? Ryu

I'm not entirely sure as of now, but my quess would be Early Piccolo is from the end of DB to the end of the Saiyan Saga, Mid Piccolo is from the Andriod Saga to the end of the Cell Saga, and each have different attacks. // DecaimientoPoético 17:24, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Clash of Ninja

As you were the one that made the character chart, and likely have the most experience with these games, could you add references to the character chart? It's likely going to become a sticking point in a GA review, and rather than remove it altogether, adding references to confirm the characters' presence would be preferable. Sourcing the game guide, instruction manual, or any other verifiable source would be fine. Furthermore, is the gameplay section simply going to be a "general gameplay features" section, with additional features being listed under each individual game section, or should it encompass the entire series? I would prefer the former, but I'm open to opinions. Thanks. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 03:44, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

I'd be glad to cite the characters' appearances, though I've been debating over how it should be done. I've considered the following options:
  1. Citing each characters' appearance by using <ref>instruction manuals or strategy guides as references</ref> next to their names; or
  2. Using a "Sources" section, akin to the ones we have on Naruto character articles, listing both manuals and strategy guides. This option seems to be shorter, simpler, and more accurate as instruction manuals don't list all playable characters.
As for the gameplay information, I agree with you on using the former. // DecaimientoPoético 17:02, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
The problem with the second section is that we still need inline citations. Although adding the sources is indeed good, a GA reviewer is still going to want inline citations citing the specific page in the instruction manual, strategy guide, or whatever. If this was a single game, we could list a single source reference for the entire table, but as we're dealing with multiple games, this can't be done.
On the topic of the gameplay information, I would appreciate it the relevant information could be added. Copy editing can fix everything, but the information just needs to be out there. Another issue, however, is our relative inability to provide sources for gameplay or reception for the Japanese exclusive games. I suppose we could gloss over them, as it isn't absolutely necessary for a GA review, but it would be nice. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 17:32, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Since the last warning you gave him he has still been editing the Tenkaichi 3 article then deleting his vandalism right after. I'm not sure if this counts if he reverts it but I would like to ask why he isnt blocked yet. Atomic Religione 19:34, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

To be honest, I don't really know why he hasn't been either. Around the time he got his final warning from me, he was clearly vandalizing and seemed to be aware of it, so I reported him. Close...

Naruto: Clash of Ninja (series) is really close to GA status. Sources for the gameplay (the section as well as the individual game sections) would allow us to send it to WP:GAC. References for the table would be nice, but it's not absolutely required. If we have a strict GA reviewer, it may become an issue, but we should be fine. As for the gameplay, citing the reviews (as in the GameSpot, IGN, etc. review) is an accepted practice, and applicable. Most of the information would require a cite directly from a guidebook, the relevant information book, or another verifiable source. Thanks. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 00:03, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

I'll do what I can to help. I'm sure we'll reach GA (possibly even FA, though perhaps I'm setting my sights too high) soon enough. ^.~ Also, before I do anything, is the instruction manual an acceptable source for references? // DecaimientoPoético 00:09, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
FA will be hard. We'll actually have to hire someone to skim Japanese websites for sources and information. It's feasible though. The WP:VG folks are really good at this in any case. And as to your question, yes, the instruction manual is an acceptable source for references. The only issue that people have with it is that sometimes it is used for information that drifts too far into game guide territory, but that's not an issue in our case. Thanks again. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 00:12, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Holy hell, long time no see! Hope you've been doing well. Anyway, IGN has stated that the game will "[feature] an absolutely massive roster of more than 150 characters, including each of the 120 found in Budokai Tenkaichi 2". Contradicting as it may be, seeing we had about 130 in Tenkaichi 2 and not 120, we have yet to hear any news on characters being removed. // DecaimientoPoético 16:35, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Two matters

Dear Poetic Decay/Archive 7, you are invited to join the move request for Goku since it's been much slower than expected. I also asked something at WP:WPDB and thought you could help in seeking the answer. Much thanks, Lord Sesshomaru 00:32, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

A thought

Seeing articles such as List of Final Fantasy media and List of F-Zero titles, it would be possible to have List of Naruto video games have a similar format, as it would be easier to have it achieve Featured List status in a manner similar to the aforementioned games. The only problem is how to remove the individual game articles that do not fall into any single series. I suppose we could make series articles for all those who do have series, which would be better than having individual articles, and it still would be possible (and perhaps easier) to get them to GA status. Given that we originally had them in individual articles, combining them into a series article is still a superior result. The problem is the individual game articles. If you have a possible idea, then we could move forward with this. Much appreciated. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 02:27, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Re:Games

Sorry for not responding quickly, I've been busy on my college tour. Making similar lists for those articles is fine. As for character lists for the single games, it becomes more game guide information than showing the transition between games in a series. The only mention that I would include is that they are based on the Bleach/Dragon Ball/Naruto/whatever series and leave it at that. For series, you can include out-of-universe sources concerning inclusion or exclusion of certain characters and so on and such forth. In any case, have you thought of a solution for separating single games? Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 05:11, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Don't worry about it; we had a pretty bad storm last night that didn't die down until maybe four or five in the morning and I had to take an early break (somewhere between 7:30 to 8 at night). At any rate, I'll avoid adding character lists and focus more on encyclopedic information. For the single games, however... I haven't come up with anything. But I'll keep looking around for ideas and hopefully we can finally get all these articles to GA. // DecaimientoPoético 15:50, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello again pal, I was thinking and thought that listing the trasformations instead of just putting them in parenthaees makes the list (of Charecters) harder to read and more bloated. I'm sorry. I've been trying to find new ways of listing the characters so we can cite them without the table looking horrible (to avoid all unnecessary complaints from other users), but the roster's sheer size makes it almost impossible to do so. I'll keep experimenting, and hopefully I'll find a great way to handle this soon. // DecaimientoPoético 02:34, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Bleach Wii and Bleach GC

I will have to go to the store and write down the NP info so I can relay it to you. If you go to the official Bleach Wii website, it has a box with all of the GC characters, and underneath, it shows a new character box for characters introduced in Wii. They are sequels, just without numbers or anything to denote them being sequels. Kind of like the sequel to Jurassic Park, it is called the Lost World. There is nothing there to denote that it is a sequel, it is just known that it is. ;) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kylemcauliffe15 (talkcontribs) 16:39, August 21, 2007 (UTC).

  • I strongly suggest that you improve upon question 1. Whatever you do though, don't reword your original answer. Instead, write an expanded answer underneath your original answer to question 1. If you don't add an expanded answer to question 1, you'll likely receieve more and stronger opposition. Seriously, you should improve it. Acalamari 20:25, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Seriously, try to improve that first answer. What can an admin do other than stopping vandals? Really, is that the only thing admins do around here? Its natural, don't worry, Im with you all the way! DBZROCKSIts over 9000!!! 20:43, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
I'd say it’s quite natural to feel this way when an opportunity like this comes at you. Relax and really think before you answer to questions and comments. Show that you are responsible and really listening to what others say. Take their advice into consideration. Again, it would really help you if you would expand your first answer and talk about what I said in my comment above. -- bulletproof 3:16 20:47, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
  • It is quite natural. PD, I don't think you're suited to be an admin and said as much in your RfA. But, if it fails don't take it hard. Being an admin isn't some lofty status symbol or anything. I voluntarily gave up my admin bit months ago, and I think it's the best decision I ever made on Wikipedia. Whatever the outcome, learn from the experience. In the meantime, stop stressing about it :) It really doesn't matter two grains of sand what happens to the RfA. --Durin 20:50, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Thank, Durin. After having reviewed my edits and edit summaries myself, I honestly don't think I'm ready either. I want to give it a day or two longer for a chance of reassurance, but I don't think that'll happen. Also, I'm taking an oath right now to change my ways: no more biting, more discussing, and the like. *sighs* Oh well, there's always next year. // DecaimientoPoético 20:57, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
It doesn't even have to be a full year before you are nominated again. Learn from this and improve yourself like you just said and there's no doubt in my mind you'll be ready in no time. You are a great editor that I respect very much. Just kick back and relax here. What can you lose? On the contrary, you have much to gain. -- bulletproof 3:16 21:01, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Very true bulletproof, well said. Atomic Religione 21:07, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Sadly, I actually suggest you withdraw now; believe me, it's unlikely to get any better. Acalamari 22:08, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
I was seriously considering it. I don't need to become an admin; I'm happy where I am now. What do I need to do? // DecaimientoPoético 22:10, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
I belive that the deciding factor was the Biting of vandals, without that I do belive you would have at least had better results. I think that a month or two of avoiding that will probably make your chances higher. Anyway I still think you would make a good admin. DBZROCKSIts over 9000!!! 22:14, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Acalamari, please don't feel bad. If anything, I should feel ashamed for allowing you to nominate me in the first place. ^^ You must be so embarrassed my RfA was a flop. Thank you, though. You gave me hope, and despite the short time my RfA was open, I now know a few of my flaws and what I need to do to fix them. And Neranei, I have to thank you as well. Your comment was, though labelled neutral, very supportive and heartwarming. Atomic, PR... Hell, I just want to thank you all even though things didn't work out. I know I'm close, and I know I can make it in just a few more months' time. When that day comes, I'll be loking forward to all of your supports and opposes. Thanks again, everybody. ^^ // DecaimientoPoético 23:51, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

It's all right, Decay. Running in RFA can be pretty hard. Just continue to contribute well and watch admin-related pages, and you'll do better when we nominate you again. Don't take it too hard on yourself. bibliomaniac15 Prepare to be deleted! 03:00, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

RE:Tenkaichi 3

There was no comfusion at all. It's not something I have a strong oppinion on. I just thought it should be like that because of the Tenkaichi 1 article. Hope this didn't cause any inconsistencies for you. Ryu-chan 19:13, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

I fixed the Tenkaichi article, and it's no problem really. You were just being bold. I'm just glad to see we worked things out without heads flying. ^^ // DecaimientoPoético 19:18, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Yeah. I readded Goku (Mid) back to the bottom. ^^ Ryu-chan 19:20, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
