Speedy nominations

When you place a tag for speedy deletion -- or any other deletion procedure -- it is necessary to say so explicitly in the edit summary. This is to help people, including us over-worked admins-- identify the edit.

And the speedy tags are applied as specified at WP:CSD. interpreted literally and narrowly. In particular, the "no context tag can be used only if the article gives so little information that it is impossible to tell what the subject is. It is not appropriate when the article is merely inadequate. Star filter for example, may or may not be sufficient for a separate article, but it is totally clear that it is talking about a particular electrical component.

In checking articles, you need also to be aware multiple considerations. Please refresh your knowledge of the various considerations at WP:Notability; for example Maxim Shevchenko is unquestionably notable, as a member of a national legislature, while Hilary Charlesworth meets WP:AUTHOR When marking to expand for another language version, make sure the link is right: For Guren, the Japanese article is about a song, , while the Norwegian article link goes to a hip-hop band, and the Polish article was deleted. And rather than just tagging for dead-end, it's better to look yourself for obvious things to link to. An article having references, but not in the correct format is not "unreferenced" -- see Hannah Perschel & Helen C. Frederick

Hello. I saw that you created an article for Amy Bourret a few days ago. I was wondering if you would be interested in also writing an article on her book, Mothers and Other Liars? • Hi. The article I changed seemed inconsistent - sometimes using "sabreur" sometimes "sabre fencer". Also, I've never really heard the term "sabre fencer" in use. For the same reason, I also changed the spelling of "saber" to "sabre" and chose "sabre" since that's spelling used in the title of the article about it (I know both are fine, but better to be consistent). 2011 Echo Klassik Awards

Hi PhoenixBlitzkrieg, Just popping by on a courtesy visit to let you know that I have tagged your recent article "2011 Echo Klassik Awards" as having too short a lead. I thought best to explain my reasoning for such a tag. I find that it didn't inform me as to what the award was for or about, yes I understood once I went down through the article. But, in the introduction I was left asking myself "what is the 2011 Echo Klassik Awards".
