Hi

Hi, sorry for changing Stroke information. I am currently writing a report for uni purposes on Wikipedia about authentic information, who monitors this information and how fast corrections take place once someone edits false information. Gotta say, im impressed :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.178.175.222 (talk) 08:50, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

I guess that less than a minute is pretty good, but please try and find other methods to conduct such research. Disrupting Wikipedia benefits no one and wastes a lot of time. Best, ► Philg88 ◄ talk 08:56, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Plea to change elements

Philg88, In sense of discussion here I would like to appeal on You with request for "Vandal 2" deletion from me. I just claim for two-sided misunderstanding. My apologize. --89.176.227.251 (talk) 09:23, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

I'm not sure what's going on here but it looks like some sort of mixup. I suggest that you create an account which will wipe your slate clean. Best, ► Philg88 ◄ talk 11:22, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
(note: Vandal 1 is deleted, just remain your Vandal 2) --89.176.227.251 (talk) 11:35, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
It´s not any mixture! Creating account is not neither appropriate, nor verisimilar result of Your action. Creating account in encyklopedia what include bad bahaviour on me? You´re kidding on me. --89.176.227.251 (talk) 11:35, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Please be polite. I will remove the tag but be careful with your future edits. ► Philg88 ◄ talk 11:39, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeah. Careful (using many previews before send it, etc.) should be everyone who edit.
What do you think for future on my IP? It will be some big brother watching or any type of chicane? You could also join discuss on my talk page (previously mentioned) about 2011-04-06 subject matter edits. Today´s revisions are wrong all.
Thx for removing the tag. --89.176.227.251 (talk) 11:56, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

RE: Zajdi, zajdi, jasno sonce Song Vandalism!!!!

Hello Philg88 Zajdi, zajdi, jasno sonce Macedonian song is not written and composed by Aleksandar Sarievski !! Aleksandar Sarievski was just a Folk singer not composer or song writer, so reference to him "composing and writing" this song is Vandalism. This song is much older than he was and there is on way that could compose or write this song. Aleksandar Sarievski just recorded this song among many other traditional Macedonian songs in post WWII Yugoslavia era in early 1950's on Jugodisc Label 78rpm Record. Originally this song belongs to Macedonia and Bulgaria, since part of Bulgaria was always part of Macedonia (Reference Macedon History). Your reference to this song history given by

Todevski,K. (2002) - is pure lie, deviation and making of fictional Macedonian history!!,

therefore my version is not vandalism of this song it is truth and only true version on history of this song 1. ^ Тодевски, К. (2002) „Од Галичник до легенда“. Дирекција за култура и уметност, Скопје

Hi, if you mean this version, I'm afraid that the copyediting isn't up to scratch and lots of other information has been added since. The best place for a discussion on the issue is Talk:Zajdi,_zajdi,_jasno_sonce.

Re:RE: Zajdi, zajdi, jasno sonce Song Vandalism!!!!

please, but what do you know about history of this song to revert my edit!!! it is like talking to you about traditional Chinese song and claiming that i am the expert. You should allow my version couse simply you don't know what are you talking about —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.130.144.54 (talk) 02:56, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

You miss the point - removal of content is non-constructive - whether I know anything about the topic or not. As I said before, you need to discuss this on the article's talk page with people versed in the subject. As an alternative, you could reword the current version without removing too much. Re:Re:Re: Zajdi, zajdi, jasno sonce Song

That is exactly what i did ____________________________________________________________ reword the current version without removing too much. ____________________________________________________________ - claims that this song is written and composed by Aleksandar Sarievski (June 20, 1922 – December 19, 2002). [false] & I removed this entry _ Song is performed at least last 500 years Song firt time appeared on Jugodics 78rpm 1950's. Before that is was sung in weddings, when male goes to military, taverns, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.130.144.54 (talk) 03:22, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

You need to dicuss this with User:Local hero, it was his/her edit that you reverted, not me. I only replaced content that you deleted. ► Philg88 ◄ talk 03:29, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

I"ve been looking for sources on your behalf (online only, I'm afraid). Most of the online sources are not about his business dealings, but rather are about his art collection, which seems to have been very impressive. However, this article and this article look particularly helpful. [http://www.oxforddnb.com/index/37/101037727/ This biographical entry could be useful, if you have access to the reference (I do not have access). There's a short biography by Tessa Murdoch in Proceedings of the Huguenot Society XXIX (2) 2009 -- found in search results and downloaded from http://www.huguenotsociety.org.uk -- try searching Google on the exact phrase "In 1843 Hollingworth Magniac (1786–1867) was elected director. He was the son of Colonel Francis Magniac". Page 15 in this ref also appears to support some of the statements in the article. This history is not about his business dealings, but it seemed interesting. --Orlady (talk) 02:55, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
You are most kind to do that, thank you, I will review your sources and improve the article accordingly. It's very interesting how Magniac is swept under the carpet in most versions of the history of Jardine's, just as the company has never officially admitted it once dealt in opium. In my opinion, events in China/Hong Kong between 1800–1850 form one of the most interesting periods in world history. Best ► Philg88 ◄ talk 03:01, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

song Zajdi Zajdi sonce

Song Zajdi zajdi sonce, please don't revert my edits to this songs history, couse claims that Aleksandar Sarievski composed it are [false]!!!!!! Aleksandar was Macedonian traditional music - folk singer and thats it, he was not composer nor song writer and { Zajdi zajdi song } is ancient and at least 500 years old. Im guessing Mr. Sarievski lived 500+ years Please don't make Macedonian history based on lies and fiction. I lived in SFRJ long enough to know what is what and who is who.--70.130.144.54 (talk) 10:50, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

vandalism level 3?

Hi, last night you left a vandalism level 3 notice on my talk page. I removed it because I think it must have been done in error. Either way, please let me kniow what happened and if it was not in error, please tell me what I did that caused such a warning and also what does "level 3" mean? Itabletboy (talk) 14:19, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

This is as a result of your editwar at Michael Ignatieff. When you removed Skol fir's warning for your disruptive editing from your talk page, it triggered a vandalism warning to one of Wikipedia's automated tools and issued a level 3 warning based on your edit history. There is no level five warning - you are automarically reported to WP:AIV. Since you've removed the warning it is now academic and your warning level has been reset. Jeld-Wen Field

The station has officially been renamed. See timetable at http://trimet.org/schedules/w/t1100_1.htm

Please undo your revision. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MojaveNC (talkcontribs) 01:37, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Yes, sorry about that. PGE Park (MAX station) redirected to Jeld-Wen Field seemed a bit odd as there appeared to be no connection between the two. Your humorous comment made it look even more suspicious. Anyway, all sorted out now. Best ► Philg88 ◄ talk 01:42, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
Actually, this has not yet been properly sorted out, because the article's 6-year page history is no longer linked to the article. I tried to fix it, but I'm not an administrator, and apparently this particular correction requires administrator access. So, I've listed a request here (as of 4 a.m. on Apr. 10, UTC), but I don't know how long we'll have to wait until someone takes care of it. If you are able to do it yourself or know an administrator who might be willing to deal with it sooner rather than later, that would be welcome. (I tried to fix the problem through a two-step renaming, but then found the intended second step wouldn't go through.) SJ Morg (talk) 05:28, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
OK, what you need to do is revert the PME page to the version before you added the redirect. Then ask an admin to delete the Jen Weld page - then move the PME page there which will retain the history. You can then recreate the redirect. If you hit aany problems by all means come back to me. ► Philg88 ◄ talk 06:50, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. It has been dealt with by an admin now. SJ Morg (talk) 10:46, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Please explain how my edit to Slap-a-Ham was unconstructive. I reverted edits that changed the information to Spanish (this is an English article), and moved release info into the release history box, instead of outside it. What was the unconstructive part? 72.37.244.28 (talk) 17:40, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about that. The article contains the words "Bllleeeeaaauuurrrrgghhh" (if there is such a word) and "fuck" which are normally an indication of vandalism. I will remove the warning from your talk page. Best ► Philg88 ◄ talk 20:23, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

CE on Jan Lokpal Bill

While your work copyediting Jan Lokpal Bill is helpful, I'm concerned about the timing. That article could almost have a {{current}} tag on it. It's in the top 3 news stories on several different Indian newspapers as we speak, and is actually getting multiple stories in them simultaneously. Thus, copy-editing has two problems: first, any edits you do will more than likely disappear as updated information gets added, replacing the old info, and 2) keeping the in use tag on an article about breaking news prevents other editors from adding content to the article. So, in my opinion, you probably should let the copy-editing go for now, and handle it at a later date. Qwyrxian (talk) 03:38, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I see your point. I've finished the copyedit but in hindsight I should have made a similar comment to yours when the request for a copyedit was posted at the [GOCE requests page. Might be an idea to add the {{current}} tag. Best ► Philg88 ◄ talk 03:48, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I think I'll do that now; if the editing is tame over the next day or two, I can always take it off. The real problem is that there's a sprawl of similar but slightly different articles, not all of which I think I've found yet, all getting "updates" of this info.
