I have tons of Childs Source material[edit]

Hi there, Saw your mentions of Childs and I have thousands of articles and pictures from reputable sources. Have been researching the company for 9 months now. Would be very interested in connecting. Thanks.

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarahefrancis (talkcontribs) 16:13, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

One of the most interesting notes is that I have over 200 sourced locations around the country from 1891-1976, including Ellsworth Childs numerous stores, yet none of the Queens, Bronx, Yonkers locations show up anywhere in any legitimate sources from fire maps, phone directories, travel guides and newspapers. Very strange since I can source restaurants in Minneapolis,,Buffalo, Chicago, Winnipeg, Milwaukee, Memphis, Jacksonville, Boston, DC, Philly, Syracuse, Providence and so on and so on, all over the country in major metro areas and Manhattan, many with pictures. That is a huge issue for me.

Hi Sarah, I do want to connect. I am trying to figure out what (if anything) connects the various buildings identified as Childs locations in outer boroughs and elsewhere. I am pretty sure no Childs was located in most of them but I want to know if they were all owned or built by the same person. My email is nextseventrain -at- gmail.com please contact me there. I am interested in your source material! Peter Greenberg (talk) 16:32, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
