vandals[edit]

. Tou can't block vandals. Adding links is not considered vandalism in Wiki vernacular, that term being used to describe someone who posted profanity, blanked a page, etc. Uniformative and disinformation links, particularly of the sort you mentioned can be removed (and contested) because they are violations of the NPOV provisions, because they are factually incorrect, or (unfortunatately) for no good reason at all. Try to avoid edit wars, as they are a huge pain in the butt and really don't add anything. Try to err on the side of inclusion, and recognize that entries are not the property in any sense of the subject. Try to focus on productive participation and not simply squatting an entry to make it reflect your perspective. Deal with people in good faith as best you can. And good luck. It's also good form to sign your edits with the four tildas at the end, so people know how to contact you. But I think you already know that.In the Stacks (talk) 15:07, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV[edit]

It's excellent you've taken an interest in RCP-related entries. One thing to keep in mind is that you should attempt to make your involvement with Wikipedia broader than one topic, and also that watching over the entries that you are directly involved with (pro or con) is considered a breach of good faith activities. Of course this is violated all over the place, but as disputes arise you would likely be overruled if it were agreed by other participants that you were defending a particular viewpoint as THE viewpoint. Good luck, and look through the basics on editing pages. In the Stacks (talk) 16:44, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
