I've nominated the article on you for deletion. I don't believe that one independent reference is enough to establish notability. There will be a 5 day debating period which should give you plenty of time to add more sources. You can also put your point of view on the debate page (click the link on the notice). but please just use the one account. Theresa Knott | The otter sank 01:37, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

August 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Jonathan Sammeroff has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://creative.myspace.com/uk/marsplanets/popups/winners.html?&lid=winners) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! General advice[edit]

Obviously you're new here, and you don't know how things work. That's OK. But, this is a good reason to not go around accusing people of misconduct. It's not some great crime for an admin to come along and close the AFD without participating- on the contrary, this is what we expect. You're way better off focusing on why you say this artist meets notability requirements- show us nontrivial coverage in music media. It seems apparent there's been some media coverage here, but the question is how much. Friday (talk) 19:44, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Answer[edit]

Thanks for being courteous. "It seems apparent there's been some media coverage here, but the question is how much" --- CLEARLY enough to meet notability requirements. That's the point!!

We can't just take your word for it. The first source I looked at (all music guide) has nothing on him. I usually consider them a good indicator of how much overall coverage a musician has gotten. Friday (talk) 19:49, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I also googled and there's almost nothing under his real name. I googled "jono", but it's difficult because there are many unrelated jonos. Friday (talk) 19:51, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
