I pass no judgement on which was the better image, but the way you did it screwed up the article. We might go back to the issue in a more considered way once the flurry of activity on this article has died down. PatGallacher (talk) 02:07, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

You tagged this article for lack of notability, for three weeks, during the Christmas holiday season, when nobody is looking, and then propose deletion? Please, don't bite the newbies, and go to WP:AFD for any controversial deletions. FWIW, I'd argue that as head of the House of Hohenberg, he's notable. At worse, the articles could be merged. Bearian (talk) 23:08, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

You could get more people looking during the Xmas holiday season, since they would be off work. I have no wish to bite the newbies. PatGallacher (talk) 23:28, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

Mudyug concentration camp moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Mudyug concentration camp, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. On multiple occasions you have added material to this article without there being any corresponding source to support it. I went through the article and removed some material where there is no source apparent, or where it appears to conflict with information in existing sources. You reinstated this unsourced material without any attempt to provide sources for it. As the article is the biography of a living person I have again removed these unsourced claims. Drchriswilliams (talk) 07:47, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

No source? I added the material as a cite https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/aug/11/voted-corbyn-scottish-independence-labour-nationalist - You have absolutely no right to call this vandalism. She quite clearly states she votes Labour now. Briever (talk) 20:16, 22 August 2017 (UTC)Briever

I never said this was vandalism or unsourced. I did say that I thought it was undue weight and using Wikipedia as a platform to put this in the lede, since this point is included, with the link you mention, later in the article. PatGallacher (talk) 20:20, 22 August 2017 (UTC)

Proposed deletion

I'd like to propose a deletion to the article 'List of Television Shows considered the Worst".

Under the 'Gameshow' section the ITV comedy hypnosis show 'You're Back in the Room' is listed and I think it's wrong for it to be included.

In the (unusually) brief description it states that it was poorly received and panned for being fraudulent. It then cites an article that was first self published on the internet and picked up by the Daily Mail BEFORE the first episode had actually aired! When the first episode did air it was the highest rated entertainment launch of the year (BARB analysis) and even won the International Formats Awards Best Studio-based Gameshow in 2016. There were also some positive reviews that can be found very easily online and it sold to several international territories. I don't believe it's inclusion in the list adheres to Wikipedia's own parameters and metrics for this article:

"NOTE: Before adding shows. Remember-- this is "worst." There are a lot of "bad" shows out there. There are a lot of shows which individual people might consider "worst." However, it should only be listed as a worst show if it can be attributed as such in at least one reliable source." Paul9006 (talk) 12:24, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

Ways to improve Société populaire de Nantes

Hi, I'm Boleyn. PatGallacher, thanks for creating Société populaire de Nantes!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This has been tagged as unreferenced and with unclear notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

The article Société populaire de Nantes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Information is not verified, and 'article' is so vague I'm unclear what it is actually about.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Boleyn (talk) 15:20, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

The article Colette Wilde has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't appear to meet WP:NACTOR or WP:GNG. Also no verified information and this is an article on a living person. There are no refernces, although it would be ineligible for a blpprod as it has an external link to a source (imdb) that is specifically banned at WP:RELIABLESOURCES.

Ways to improve Guillaume Lamberty

Hi, I'm Boleyn. PatGallacher, thanks for creating Guillaume Lamberty!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This has been tagged as its notability not being clear from the article and it having only one entry, which is not WP:INLINECITED and is a little unclear - looks like a book but no page numbers.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Another warning

Pat, you have been asked many times now to make clear your sourcing on articles you create - are your external links friendly suggestions or actually ources, so should have one of the usual headings of 'Notes', 'Sources' or 'References' and preferably be WP:INLINECITED. I have also asked you to communicate on many occasions, and WP:Communication is required on Wikipedia. You have continued to produce sub-stubs with all the same issues such as Baldomer Lostau i Prats - which has no clear sources. Sources are essential to articles and the WP:BURDEN is on the creator. Can you please stop creating articles without clear sources and communicate. If you do this again, I will start a discussion at WP:ANI. Boleyn (talk) 14:59, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

If you prefer headings like Notes to External links fair enough, but I question if this is a big deal. In the case of Baldomer, the source is the Catalan Wikipedia article. PatGallacher (talk) 15:48, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

See WP:DEMOLISH. PatGallacher (talk) 16:04, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for responding to me and for linking to an interesting essay. Thank you also for agreeing to change the title. The reason it is commonly notes, references or sources is because an external links section is often just friendly suggestions, and often in addition to references. Labelling it notes just makes it totally clear to those using it for research, but also for people like me patrolling new pages. I now know not to mark your creations as unreferenced. Boleyn (talk) 16:20, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

Also, as for DEMOLISH, many of these articles, e.g. Pedro José de Fonte y Hernández Miravete, were created as much as three months ago, and tagged two months ago as unreferenced, with you being alerted at the time, and it still has no references at all. It isn't really about giving it more time. You might alo find working on something in the sandbox until it is referenced means your articles won't be regularly prodded, which can be a bit of a waste of time for you and other editors. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 16:22, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

Hello, PatGallacher. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Mudyug concentration camp".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 07:51, 7 October 2017 (UTC)

Ways to improve Ponce I, Count of Urgell

Hi, I'm Boleyn. PatGallacher, thanks for creating Ponce I, Count of Urgell!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. All articles must have sources. Pat, you are well aware of this. PLEASE stop creating unreferenced articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Eleanor Nathan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 23:56, 19 October 2017 (UTC)

Don't worry about that, I declined the request and expanded the article with some sources. Take a look and feel free to fix/expand it more. I also thought it would be a good candidate for WP:DYK and nominated it at Template:Did you know nominations/Eleanor Nathan. Regards SoWhy 09:05, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for creating Ray Rigby (screenwriter), PatGallacher!

A page you started (Aurelio Díaz) has been reviewed!

Thanks for creating Aurelio Díaz, PatGallacher!

Wikipedia editor Boleyn just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

This has been tagged as a blp with no clear sources (if the external link is actually a source, please add that clearly). As a blp, it also needs its sources to be WP:INLINECITED. It has been tagged as of doubtful notability as there is no sign of meeting WP:GNG and as a seemingly local politician, he may not meet WP:NPOL. It has also bee tagged as an orphaned page and as a stub.
