Nice bit of prognostication. Now, what are Saturday's winning lottery numbers going to be, then? :-) GBT/C 22:45, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bishop of Dudley - a relevant page in connection with the Right Reverend Dr Rupert Hoare, former Dean of Liverpool[edit]

This page just explains his former appointment. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Textbook (talkcontribs) 22:49, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The land of bad fantasy[edit]

I'd quite agree its an article which probably needs to go, but tagging the discussion page where the author is contesting that deletion for deletion as well seems a bit harsh even if they did forget the associated hangon tag in the article itself.--BrucePodger (talk) 23:52, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there - just a quick note to say that I've removed your report above about User: ودالخطيب. Non-latin usernames aren't automatically banned (I've quoted the relevant bits of the policy below), so I think it's best to assume good faith, and if you have an issue with their name, or the fact that they may not be putting a latin-version of their username in their signature, I think it's probably better to take it up with them on their talk page first.

Contributors are welcome to use usernames that are not spelled using the Latin alphabet, but should bear in mind that scripts of non-Latin languages (such as Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese, Greek or Japanese) are illegible to most contributors to the English Wikipedia. To avoid confusion and aid navigation, users with such usernames are encouraged to use Latin characters in their signature and provide a corresponding redirect to their user page.

Thanks! GBT/C 19:29, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey you wanted my article on CMS 8th Grade Merit deleted. I just wanted you you to know that I am the principal and I do not think that I am breaking any rules. Please explain to me what is wrong. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by UAninja (talkcontribs) 00:39, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

deletion of cms 8th grade merit[edit]

how is this article so bad if only 17 people will see it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by UAninja (talkcontribs) 01:30, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ericaceous[edit]

Hmm, well I Googled it and it has an entry on dictionary.com, and there's no entry on Wiktionary, so it must be a word of some sort. It's not an encyclopedic topic but if it belongs anywhere, it's on Wiktionary. Esteffect (talk) 02:30, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Alright. I've just looked at their other contributions, though, and it seems odd that after their first two, very much vandalism-based edits, they'd come up with a valid definition. Maybe they realised they were on way to being marked a vandalism-only account, or something. Esteffect (talk) 02:36, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising???[edit]

I really don't want to be a pain or an inconvenience but I was wondering if my Logitech Driving Force GT is a bit too much of an advertisement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TechGuyDude9X (talkcontribs) 04:49, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What happends if i erase everything on wikipedia? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TechGuyDude9X (talkcontribs) 04:56, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How many people (if any) erase a lot of information on wikipedia just to be funny or annoying? Like if random guy goes onto your User Talk erases every word, what is the consequence and when was the last time anything like that happened? TechGuyDude9X (talk) 05:08, 1 March 2008 (UTC) TechGuyDude9X TechGuyDude9X (talk) 05:08, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What happends If I do this....[edit]

If I erase the deletion notices, tags, and or messages, is that a really bad thing? If I were to delete a speedy deletion tag thing, will i be banned? TechGuyDude9X (talk) 05:14, 1 March 2008 (UTC) TechGuyDude9X (talk) 05:12, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much![edit]

Thank you very much for voting to keep my article up and running. I highly appreciate it. I just met you today and you seem like a very nice person with a very nice personality. I feel very welcome and happy that I don't just visit wikipedia all the time. I am making a contribution to wikipedia and I feel very good about myself doing so. Thank you again for making me feel welcome. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TechGuyDude9X (talkcontribs) 05:27, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry![edit]

I am sorry for editing my article while you were. I thought we could edit the same article together to make it go by faster but I was wrong and I am sorry for wasting your time. TechGuyDude9X (talk) 05:37, 1 March 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by TechGuyDude9X (talkcontribs) 05:33, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I will be leaving soon and thank you for editing my article for me. See you tomorrow. :)

I think you erased too much[edit]

It doesn't say anything about Polyphony Digital help designing the wheel and all that other stuff. I was expecting to just have a few sentences erased. Not the whole thing. I just have one question, was erasing 85% of the article necessary? TechGuyDude9X (talk) 05:48, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

u r a nob —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.105.229.153 (talk) 11:00, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am 14[edit]

I am 14 and I really didn't know what should be inserted into my article and what should have been taken out. I am more of a hardcore gamer than anything and all I do all day is play Call of Duty 4 and Gran Turismo HD. Cheers! P.S. Who and why did somebody call me a "nob" ??? TechGuyDude9X (talk) 15:42, 1 March 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by TechGuyDude9X (talkcontribs) 15:37, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed it for you[edit]

I fixed your profile or whatever. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:PMDrive1061 I changed the "insofar" because I think you meant "in so far" but that doesn't make any sense so I changed it around a bit. Hope its ok with you. TechGuyDude9X (talk) 15:51, 1 March 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by TechGuyDude9X (talkcontribs) 15:47, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could you fix my talk page?[edit]

I want my talk page layout the same as yours. Maybe you could change it a lot just like you did with my article. Peace! TechGuyDude9X (talk) 15:50, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is this ok?[edit]

I hope I am not adding to many topics in your talk page... I apologize if I am. Every topic needs a new topic right? I jump all over the place when I type as you can see. Chow! TechGuyDude9X (talk) 15:52, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I AM THE BEST![edit]

I have been going to video game articles to video game articles correcting release dates, and stuff like that. More hardcore gamers like me should correct all the stuff to give a more true article instead of one that just sounds believable. Is it ok for me just to go around and fix a whole bunch of video game articles? I am mostly doing release dates because that is what most gamers care about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TechGuyDude9X (talkcontribs) 16:40, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re The Reptoid Cryptozoologist[edit]

Sock blocked. Can you change the template to confirmed, and correct the puppet master - it redlinks at the mo. Cheers. LessHeard vanU (talk) 22:39, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I hadn't actually finished the article, I was coming back to it. There was going to be a plot synopsis. It wasn't menat to be a stub. Gorillazx1 (talk) 22:46, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plaquemines Parish[edit]

Oh, ok! Yeah, I'm adding a list of schools right now - AFAIK rural districts are interesting as they have rather strange attendance boundaries, etc. :) WhisperToMe (talk) 04:03, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I've restored it and removed the outdated PROD tag. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 08:21, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. It's 1:30 am here but I'm at work until 7:15. The joys of shift work with no supervision. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 08:24, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I need your opinion ![edit]

Hi, PMDrive1061! My name is Victor. I am very fascinated Wikipedia user and I hope that my knowledge will be useful here. I take a keen interest in real estate and mortgage and now I'm working at the article Fizber (internet company). Some days ago it was nominaded for deletion. So I extremely need your detached opinion about it here - Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Log/2008_March_1#Fizber_.28internet_company.29. Thank you in advance. :) -- Prokopenya Viktor (talk) 23:06, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I did’t know that sending of such invitations is the violation of WP policy (other editors wrote about it at my talk page). Sorry, I didn’t intend to spam. -- Prokopenya Viktor (talk) 23:53, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Universal[edit]

Thanks for the support. I wonder if the editor realizes that none of his changes has any staying power. Considering that the focus has been purely Universal, it's pretty fair to say that this qualifies as soliciting behavior. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 00:27, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, it's taking an eon for the report to go through... argh. :) —Erik (talkcontrib) - 00:33, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Danielbrevik[edit]

Hi, I'm a little puzzled by this. It was the first edit and just looked like a userpage that went astray. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 01:27, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tyee Elementary and redlink talkpage[edit]

Have you tried talking to the article's creator? He/she is a newbie, and his/her talkpage link is still red. Perhaps instead of nominating for speedy you can figure out what one of our newest editors is trying to accomplish? Just a thought. Talk page is located here. Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 01:36, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I understand what you're saying. New page patrol can be brutal, and new editors all seem to make the same mistakes, don't they? I appreciate what you do for wikipedia, I think you are a good editor. At the same time though, this particular editor has nothing to do with the editors that you mentioned on my talkpage. I would encourage you to look at each of the newbies attempts at wikimarkup/notability/referencing/whatever as novel, and not repetitive. this particular user, Jacobadcutts, has no idea that you've been hammered by new users. Doesn't care. He/she is just trying to get an article here and thinks it's notable. I encourage you to view things from that perspective as these new editors don't know each other and certainly aren't trying to cause you stress. That being said, schools, even elementary schools, aren't inherently speedy criteria, so I declined the speedy tag. They often fail AfD; you are welcome to bring it there. Cheers, Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 01:43, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, thanks for being cool. I'll look up this particular school also if I get a chance/if I care (whichever happens first). Cheers, Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 01:50, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hangon[edit]

It would be better not to remove those. New users are rarely knowledgeable of the intricacies of deletion process. We're fortunate when they are able to get as far as hanging on the hangon tag. At lease we can then help them look for notability and verifiability. I only found blogs and forums. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 03:05, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

S'awright. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 03:07, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

tit for tat[edit]

I had to smile... I saved my first draft of the article... went back to make corrections... and when I tried to save it again, the article no longer existed... you had moved it and made most of the changes I was making ;-) Anyway, thanks for the assist.Balloonman (talk) 07:21, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks----it surprised me as well that the article didn't exist. Thanks for the complimentBalloonman (talk) 07:28, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

im sorry ok?[edit]

Look i really want to fix up all the video gaming articles I can find errors in ok? Can you please unban my TechGuyDude9X account? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.1.100.16 (talk) 16:29, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed the message you recently left to a newcomer. Please remember to try not to bite the newcomers. If you see someone make a common mistake, try to politely point out what they did wrong and how to correct it. Thank you. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 23:37, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
