Sources, sources and sources[edit]

Hello, I'm DVdm. I noticed that you made a possibly interesting change to an article, Crank (person), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. DVdm (talk) 14:34, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi DVdm. I don't have a source on that. I just thought it was an interesting point. There aren't many sources on cranks! But we all know them when wqe see them.
Your intentions are noble but I suspect you need to look up the rules about editors posting up their own take on things. Wikipedia is not about "publishing the truth" but about publishing what's already out there, in reliable, third-party sources. Take care. -The Gnome (talk) 17:47, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

NOT A PRODUCTIVE COMMENT. I WENT TO THE TROUBLE OF SOURCING THIS FROM THE LEVY INSTITUTE. IF YOU WANT ADDITIONAL INFO I CAN PROVIDE ACCORDINGLY. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.103.135.190 (talk) 09:04, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The image has been deleted. Your intentions, in my opinion, are noble, as I already wrote. -The Gnome (talk) 12:23, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
