Notability of Shaun Kelly[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Shaun Kelly, by Tiddly Tom (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Shaun Kelly seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Shaun Kelly, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:35, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gary Bennett (footballer born 1962)[edit]

Hi there. We have to come up with a new name for this page. It's non-descriptave and awkward. I understand that you had to differntiate this and Gary Bennett (footballer), but there has to be a better name. How about moving Gary Bennett (footballer) to Gary Bennett (Sunderland A.F.C.) and moving Gary Bennett (footballer born 1962) to Gary Bennett (Chester City)?--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 22:05, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I got no response from you, so I went ahead and did it. Let me know if you object (as English socccor is not my expertise). best, --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 08:17, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lane and McGuinness[edit]

Cheers for adding those two to my subpage. I'm glad it seems to have some use :D – PeeJay 15:30, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Adam Walker (footballer)[edit]

I have nominated Adam Walker (footballer), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adam Walker (footballer). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. robwingfield «TC» 20:53, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Transwiki to a more inclusive site[edit]

Hi North Wales Cestrian, I see that you've done a lot of excellent work making bio pages for footballers, but that some are currently under review for deletion. You may wish to consider transferring them to (or duplicating them at) Wikipopuli, a wiki that hosts biographical articles and does not impose a notability requirement. In fact you could duplicate all your bios there if you like. Best, TheYellowCabin (talk) 00:57, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Hello Albert[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hello Albert, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Phlegm Rooster (talk) 05:24, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice[edit]

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello North wales cestrian! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 938 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
