Νικόλα Παπαποστόλου Ευχαριστώ για την υποστήριξη στο θέμα του πάπετ δεν το περίμενα και δεν έχω ιδέα για τα παρόμοια ονόματα. Εγώ σέβομαι τους κανονισμούς της ΒΠ.. Κράτησα το κύριε Παπαποστόλου για λόγους ευγένειας αλλά χαίρομαι που μπορούμε να μιλάμε στον ενικό! Editing files on Wikimedia Commons[edit]

Hello

I've seen that you recently edited the map for Eurovision 2018, now that Macedonia still is not confirmed, the country has to be marked grey again. I thought of learning how to do it myself. Unfortunately I couldn't find any help or instruction for editing on WC, so maybe you could explain me? It would be very helpful and nice from you.

Download Inkscape from here https://inkscape.org/en/
Go to https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:ESC_2018_Map.svg
Click Download and then Full Resolution
Open the svg image with Inkscape
Right-click on the country you want and select "Fill and Stroke"
Select the eye-dropper tool, and pick the color you want from another country
After coloring the country, save it and close Inkscape
Then go here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Upload&wpDestFile=ESC_2018_Map.svg&wpForReUpload=1 and upload the new version

So thank you again. I used your explaination now for the Junior Eurovision 2017 map and everything worked very well. First there was no change cause the cache still had the old picture, but after emptying it, the map was updated.

Question regarding ESC maps[edit]

Hey there.

I followed your tutorial below on recolouring countries, downloaded Inkscape etc. Do you know how I would go about cutting out parts of countries? (eg. if I wanted to draw in the English border with Wales so that I could colour them separately)

ThatJosh Unfortunately, I don't know how to use inkscape in those cases. I just learned how to recolour countries copying the RGBA code. I'm sorry I can't help. You can reach out to the Dimsar01 user. If I'm not wrong he knows. --JeanisDEL (talk) 15:00, 29 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
