HAPPY HELP

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:59, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Use Spaces
Spaces usually come after punctuation marks.
Instead of this:
  • I like bunnies(rabbits).They are not only cute,but friendly too.
Try this:
  • I like bunnies (rabbits). They are not only cute, but friendly too.

Protect Your Article
1. Putting lots and lots of references into your article protects it from being deleted.
2. Put references in your article like this example:
Rabbits are cute.<ref>http://www.about-rabbits.com</ref>
3. Add this to the bottom of the article:
==References==
{{reflist}}
4. Don't use Baidu.baike, Hudong, Tianya and sites that are not professionally written.
5. Write in your own words. Just the facts. Don't copy and paste.
6. Make your article style like other articles.

The article 淮安平桥豆腐 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a cookbook

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Safiel (talk) 06:37, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tracy, I have moved that article to Huai'an Pingqiao tofu so that it has a name that English readers can make sense of. Rather than being a recipe, you should rewrite it to describe the contents and manufacture without being a step by step instruction manual. There should also be more on its history and impact. What does the name mean? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 13:49, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

English[edit]

Note that this is English Wikipedia, and all contributions should be in English. Please do not create articles with Chinese titles, as you did at 淮安平桥豆腐. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:38, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Huai'an Pingqiao tofu for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Huai'an Pingqiao tofu is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Huai'an Pingqiao tofu until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:45, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is never nice to have a deletion discussion on your article, but it is still good to improve it. I just made sections (edit the page of the tofu to see how I did it). Some comments:

  • more refs. Even now, more references are needed: especially for the "reputation of Xishi tofu"
  • remove unnecessary text like: "as the story goes"
  • think about interpunction: not this , not this; but: this, this
  • to establish notability use the sources in references. do not write: It was also be published in People's Daily and Yangcheng News, but just write a fact from the daily news, and then make a link
  • I am not sure if the tasting of country representatives is really encyclopedic. It looks like a commercial to me... Good luck editing! Questions? Let me know on my talk page... L.tak (talk) 21:00, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Jiangsu Qingjiang Middle School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Britain (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
