Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
  1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
  2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
  6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References==
{{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

Request reason:

I have been editing the articles and the user sneha keeps reverting the edits, i have provided reliable citations. I feel that there is noting disruption from my side , and i promise to edit Wikipedia productively. I request to waive the block

Decline reason:

See WP:NOTTHEM. Since you don't think you did anything wrong, there are no grounds to remove the block. 331dot (talk) 17:27, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I'm aware that i have been involved in an edit war in the movie page Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva .It was my bad. Also i reverted the edits done by user Sneha996 even after getting a warning from the admin.It was also my Mistake.I plead for guilty and I won't repeat these mistakes anymore, I will abide with the Wikipedia policies , and request for an unblock. Ningalonnichpovuka (talk) 2:01 pm, Today (UTC−4)

Decline reason:

I'm sorry, but I cannot unblock you at this time. You have not adequately addressed the reason for your block.

Please see our policy on edit warring. In the event of a content dispute, editors are required to stop reverting, discuss, and seek consensus among editors on the relevant talk page. If discussions reach an impasse, editors can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution.

Points to ponder:

Edit warring is wrong even if one is right.
Any arguments in favor of one's preferred version should be made on the relevant talk page and not in an unblock appeal.
Calling attention to the faults of others is never a successful strategy; one must address one's own behavior.

To be unblocked, you must affirm an understanding of all of this, and what not to do, and what to do when in a content dispute. Please tell us, in your own words, what it all means. Thanks, -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 01:58, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't just revert Sneha996 multiple times, but also recently twice attacked the user by accusing them in your edit summaries of "Muslim Vandalism". In addition, your language skills are insuffiicent for you to edit here. Many of your contributions, if retained, have to be heavily edited for language, grammar, spelling, etc. You apparently tried to create an AfD; yet, you had no clue how to do it and so added it to the log with nothing to back it up.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:16, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes i called her 'Muslim vandal', she removed my edits calling vandalims,and also she was removing all the edits related to islam which i did. So i read she is a 'Muslim vandal'. I'm now aware that i cannot accuse anyone here as vandal, and i also report vandalism and incidents in the pages always.I was about to report this incident. I'm also new to proposing articles for deletion and creating a archive for talk page. I admit those mistake, but i promise i will use the parliamentary language and abide all the rules and policy of wikipedia Ningalonnichpovuka (talk)

It is partly true that I reverted edits from muslim related articles as the vandal has been constantly vandalising muslim related articles or edits that degrade muslim community. They were clearly violating WP:UNDUE, WP:WEIGHT, WP:RECENT, WP:EDITORIALIZING etc. An example of their edit behaviour can be seen here: [1]. Also look at their talk page which is flooded by warnings from other editors and administrators. This user should be blocked indefinitely from Wikipedia, including account creation. October 2022[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
