Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Copyright problem: Johnny Eck[edit]

Copyright problem removed[edit]

One or more sections of the text you added to Johnny Eck duplicated other source(s). The material was copied from: http://phreeque.tripod.com/johnny_eck.html and others. The "temporary" page you proposed also copied text verbatim from external sources. Wikipedia cannot duplicate text from other sources without verification that these sources are public domain or licensed compatibly with GFDL unless we have permission. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Continued concerns[edit]

Your additions to the article today still include text copied from external sites. Rather than simply remove them, I have again blanked the article with the copyright notice. If you would like to try revising this material in the temporary space that template provides, please do not use any sentences or phrases copied from any external source. Unless we get permission, you must write articles in your own language to keep Wikipedia in compliance with US law. I have noted a couple of passages of concern at the talk page of the article. There may be additional. Userfied[edit]

Since the temporary version still contains infringement, I have "userfied" it by moving it to User:NileQT87/Johnny Eck where you may work on it further if you wish. If you decide you do not want to work on it, please mark it {{db-u1}} (curly brackets and all), and I or another administrator will delete it for you. Please do not restore the former contents to the article Johnny Eck. To prevent its being further blanked, I have restored the last version that seems infringement free. Once you have resolved all infringement issues in the userfied version, I'll be happy to help you merge material there. I am watching the userfied page, but I have a rather large watchlist and sometimes copyright infringements on Wikipedia can be time-consuming. If you've left a note for me there and I haven't responded, please feel free to let me know at my talkpage, and I'll be happy to get back to you as soon as I can.
