The article says the golden perch is found in various parts of Australia, including Queensland. I note that the article wasn't very well-cited in that regard so I have added a citation from the Qld Government's species database. If the fish is found in Qld, it puts it within scope of Wikipedia:WikiProject Queensland as it includes Environment of Queensland (which includes biota which includes fish) so I have tagged it accordingly. An article can be tagged by as many projects as it is relevant to. The queensland tag doesn't exclude any other relevant tagging, if that is your concern. Golden perch occur naturally within the Murray Darling basin within QLD, NSW, VIC and SA. QLD contains only the upper edge of the fish's distribution and only tagging it as QLD gives entirely undue weight to that state regarding its importance for the fish. See Golden perch. - Nick Thorne talk 09:41, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
