Welcome![edit]

Hello, Nesbit1973, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Liquid phase exfoliation, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Liquid phase exfoliation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/adma.202202164. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Storchy,
I created this page using published text I had previously written. I didn't realize this was a problem. I am happy to replace with newly written text. FYI Liquid phase exfoliation is a widely used scientific process reported in 100s of papers. I am a physics prof and have put together a team to create a page on it. That text was only intended to get the process started.
Whats the best way to proceed. delete the page and start again?

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Nesbit1973. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Storchy (talk) 17:57, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

November 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, Nesbit1973, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as 2DRanger (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Storchy (talk) 12:20, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have one account Nesbit1973. I have (as i think mentioned before) tried to organize a team of researchers, both international and in my institution, working in this field to make the page "Liquid Phase Exfoliation". However, it is become clear that they are not working on it as much as anticipated and the vast majority of edits are mine. Yesterday, I did strongly encourage people to start working on the page. This may (or may not) relate to your message. In any case, im somewhat disillusioned with this project as its not the team effort i had planned. Im going to step away from this now. if others want to edit this page, thats fine with me. I think my editing days are over. Best wishes and thanks for the help. Thanks, and it would be a good idea not to encourage colleagues to edit articles in which they have a WP:Conflict of interest, or coordinate edits outside of Wikipedia. You're all warmly welcome to contribute to articles where there's no conflict of interest, and especially chemical physics articles: your expertise is sorely needed.
