Speedy deletion nomination of User:Nalytics/Medline Industries[edit]

A tag has been placed on User:Nalytics/Medline Industries, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

I get that you don't want advertising material on Wikipedia. I don't either. The article I was working on was not in anyway intended to be advertising. The COI page clearly states, "When someone voluntarily discloses a conflict of interest, other editors should always assume the editor is trying to do the right thing." I have only been an employee of Medline Industries for a couple months and prior to my employment had looked on the Internet for more information about the company. Not able to find much I felt I would help out others similarly looking. Simply being an employee does not automatically make contributions on an article advertising nor meaningless. Rather, I would appreciate feedback to help clear up any content that seems "salesy" or would come across as advertising. Nalytics (talk) 14:21, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Because it does not sell to the general public, the company has very limited notability. Follow this advice. See if you can find an established Wikipedia editor who has even heard of the company let alone thinks it notable.
