Protect Your Article 1. Putting lots and lots of references into your article protects it from being deleted. 2. The article on root carving has potential. I think you should work on the language, the English usage is quite artificial, and unidiomatic. Try to work with your teacher on this. It is also a problem that you use a lot of subjective evluations such as "this beautiful artform" - this is called [WP:EDITORIALIZE|editorializing]] and makes the article sound different from what an encyclopedia should be like.
