March 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 18:12, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An Editor Driven off[edit]

WTF - I was just getting the hang of helping to improve articles in wikipedia, felt like I was making valuable contributions in the area of cooking and food and now feel like I have been attacked, labeled as spammer and have had many of my contributions summarily undone without thought or consideration as to the value of the contribution. I was warned about aggressive editors, but wow, this is rude. To have ones considered contributions removed in a matter of minutes makes me feel that my time has been wasted. The worst part is that I am not clear why. Apparently my sources have been called into question and any link or reference summarily removed, but interesting to see that the content of my contributions often remains now without credit to the reference. This does not make sense. I simply tried to reference all sources that I used be it book, website or newspaper. Best I can tell MrOllie is more obsessed with protocol than value of contribution. That is too bad.
