Sourcing on Megadeth[edit]

Hello MrMoustache. Are you able to provide a second opinion about which sources could be used in Megadeth? Please leave your reply bellow the comments from L1A1 FAL, regarding the reliability of Blabbermouth.net, Goldmine, NewHampshire.com, Metal Rules, and the other references ponted by him.--Retrohead (talk) 07:50, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Replied with my thoughts on some of the sources. Some I'm just not sure about, so I didn't want to comment (as my comment would likely just be "I don't know"). MrMoustacheMM (talk) 17:49, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Still Life[edit]

Hello, While I fully respect that album genres should be established through reliable sourcing, I think there needs to be a slight change on the genres on Still Life (Opeth album). Currently the genres are "Death metal, progressive black metal", which I find very misleading as all of Opeth's other metal albums list "Progressive death metal", so calling Still Life just death metal is implying that this particular album is significantly less progressive than their others, which definitely isn't true. I propose a compromise. Cheers, TheamDreaterxXx2334 (talk) 15:31, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Both genres currently included in that article are sourced. Do you have any reliable sources explicitly calling the album "progressive death metal"? If so, I'd be happy to accept that source to overwrite "death metal". Otherwise, we only report what reliable sources say, and if we don't have one calling the album "progressive death metal", then we can't say that in the article. Check out WP:ALBUM/SOURCES for a place to start looking (and hopefully you'll have better luck than I have had in finding "progressive death metal" for that album). Death metal[edit]

i found help from other user, thanx for your time, sorry Titancards (talk) 14:26, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MrMoustacheMM! I made some edits in this page but you deleted them. You said they are unsourced but all the things that I wrote came from wikipedia! So I think they didn't need any kind of sources... Can I revert your edit? Thanks (^_^)FilBenLeafBoy(^_^)(Let's TALK!) 21:49, 13 August 2014

Wikipedia is not a reliable source for itself. You'll need to find some sort of external source discussing these hidden tracks (the album articles may contain sources supporting your changes, so check there). Additionally, in the case of your edits, none of the information you added increased understanding of the reasoning of including hidden tracks; that is the point of that section, and why the specific songs currently listed were mentioned. Therefore, you would have to find information explaining why the band chose to include those other songs you mentioned as hidden tracks on those other albums. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 20:08, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, they need sources, but in my opinion it's important to say that Viva la Vida isn't the only album in which they included hidden tracks. It's also important to say that they are the band that most of all use to hide songs in their albums. (^_^)FilBenLeafBoy(^_^)(Let's TALK!) 14:32, 16 August 2014
Again, the point of that section is to explain the reasoning of including hidden songs on their albums. Listing other songs there doesn't increase the reader's understanding of that reasoning (unless of course the addition of those songs also includes the band's reasoning for including those on their respective albums). And you'll definitely need a source to support the claim that "they are the band that most of all use to hide songs in their albums". MrMoustacheMM (talk) 01:00, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lamb of God album[edit]

Hi, if you get five minutes could you please provide your opinion over at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/New American Gospel, thanks. Lukejordan02 (talk) 01:21, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Settle down, man[edit]

I was just editing a series of pages. I didn't know that you had undone anything until I had already made the change. I was still in the middle of editing. You don't need to view it as a personal attack and "report" me for "disruptive editing." You don't need to assume that every edit I make is somehow related to you personally. What you should do, however, is start a discussion about how utterly wrong it is to call singles "songs" because there are so many singles that are not even named after any of the songs on them, particularly in this specific genre of music. It is therefore improper to use "song" at all in these cases next to a title that is not a song. If you want to be productive, go ahead and start a discussion about that. I wasn't trying to bother you by fixing those pages that are obviously incorrect. I was just doing my duty.--Nicholas0 (talk) 19:32, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You should have read my reason for moving the article back the first time, but alright, no harm no foul. At no point did I assume it was personal, I just assumed that you did not bother reading why I had moved it back. In the future, instead of moving articles again, take the time to see why another editor may have moved it back. If you disagree, start a discussion on the article's talk page. If anything, I think the article should be at Blitzkrieg (EP), but again, this would require discussion first. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 19:37, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have started a discussion at Talk:Blitzkrieg (song). Please feel free to chime in MrMoustacheMM (talk) 19:41, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on edit war[edit]

Hi. I noticed that you are an editor of Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Album article style guide and I would greatly appreciate if you could give your opinion on the matter of track listing formatting in the edit war that User:Radiopathy started at Talk:Shades of Deep Purple. Track list numbering[edit]

Hi. I noticed your comment at Template talk:Track listing about the numbering of songs in track listings. The matter was amply discussed at Talk:Shades of Deep Purple and Talk:Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Now a Rfc is open to finally settle the dispute and it would be greatly appreciated if you could give your opinion.
