Welcome[edit]

Hey there, Moszczynski. Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you enjoy being a Wikipedian and decide to stay! Here are a few good links for newcomers (or "oldcomers" for reference):

By the way, you should sign and date your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. Three tildes (~~~) produces just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

Great, just what we need around this place... more really hard to pronounce names. I think I'll call you the Wizard of Moz.. :) Cheers. --LV (Dark Mark) 18:04, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Index of Economic Freedom[edit]

Good work! A suggestion. How about changing the colors so that they are the same in the map and the table? The most economically free nations are blue in the map but green in the table.Ultramarine 14:50, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good point, I didn't think of that, thanks. I made the change. Moszczynski 20:30, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded: great work on the table!—thames 16:57, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Syllabics[edit]

I changed [Bathurst Inlet, Nunavut]], Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, Kugluktuk, Nunavut & Umingmaktok, Nunavut slightly so that syllabics comes after the Inuinnaqtun name, as their use and the use of Inuktitut is very minor in our area. In fact it's seen as an attempt by the Government of Nunavut to do away with Inuinnaqtun (but adding that right now would be original research). CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 00:33, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, I was just working off of the census, so I wasn't sure. I'll try to add syllabics for the other communities that are missing them and generally standardise the way its presented, but I appreciate the corrections. Moszczynski 01:14, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Index of Economic Freedom[edit]

Hey, I'd fix this myself if I knew how, but I don't. It looks like the 2005 Index of Economic Freedom has an error, as Burkina Faso is listed twice, and according to their website, Burma should be the country in place of the second Burkina Faso. Are you able to change it? Thanks! Sandy 01:01, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I think I did it. I took a guess that Burma was MYA, and it appears to be fixed. Hope it's right <eek> Sandy 01:06, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the fix! I auto-generated the table, didn't notice the duplicate. Moszczynski 01:12, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hindustani Grammar[edit]

I have just finished reading your comment on the Hindi grammar page. Please see the Hindustānī (Hindī-Urdū) grammar page. It contains both the Devanāgarī and Nasta'līq scripts. Urdu grammar redirects there as well. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks. Jdas07 21:46, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Assalamalaikum bhai saheb. The Hindi-Urdu grammar and Hindustani grammar articles have coexisted for a while now but we have all realized that the Hindustani grammar article is a recent duplicate with the only differece being dual scripted and not as up to date. However, due to a recent discussion (see Talk:Hindustani grammar), the Hindustani grammar article is now officially being merged into the Hindi-Urdu grammar article because the Hindi-Urdu grammar article is more up to date and accurate. As of now, we are adding the Nastaliq script to the article. Devanagari has already been done. After the Nastaliq script has been added, Hindustani grammar will be deleted and Hindi-Urdu grammar will be the main grammar page for Urdu, Hindustani, and Hindi languages. I am requesting you to please help me add the Nastaliq script to the Hindi-Urdu grammar article as this is a gargantuan but rewarding task. I would really appreciate you help. Please let me know if you can help me do this. Bahut Bahut Shukria. Khuda Hafiz. Jdas07 04:13, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Moszczynski, do you have any suggestions, who might be capable of writing a script for automatic convertion between syllabics and roman script? I think, the matter is slightly more complicated than with Serbian, because in Serbian you have a one-to-one correspondence between latin and cyrillic letters, whereas with the syllabics, the situation is quite different. If you have any suggestions, leave them at iu:Talk:ᐊᒥᖅamiq#Dual language.

Thanks a lot!

Hi again, if you are willing to dig into the matter, your help will be greatly appreciated! I've also asked sr:Корисник:Rainman for his comments. Thanks again, --Johannes Rohr 21:26, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! I saw that you reverted my edit to Brisbane Metro, and I was just wondering why? Brisbane City Council's advertising, the official project documents and all other supporting materials use the term "vehicle" rather than "bus," and I would think that it'd be counter-intuitive to phrase the article using opposing terminology, especially for Brisbane residents who have everyday exposure with these terms through media and communications ads.
