I reverted your spelling out of IJN because it had been spelled out in the lede. Other than that your changes look fine. If you feel everything is satisfactory, please don't forget to support.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 20:40, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

FA for Fawad Khan[edit]

Hi, I've recently listed Fawad Khan in FA candidates. I'll an honor for me if you consider reviewing it.Amirk94391 (talk) 04:06, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Amirk94391. Thank you for your interest in my review. I would love to review your article, but I honestly don't know if I'll have time. I unfortunately have quite little Wikipedia time these days, and I'm already committed to a review or two. If I don't manage to get to it, best of luck on it! Moisejp (talk) 13:52, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Chimes of Freedom[edit]

Hi, Moisejp. I hope you're well and I can see you're still pretty active on Wikipedia. Recently an editor asked me if I would like to contribute to taking "Chimes of Freedom" towards FAC: [1]. Unfortunately I'm currently run over by work. I like the song and its place in BD canon, but I just don't have time to contribute. A couple of times you suggested ideas for Dylan FAC, so if you are interested I thought you may wish to get involved in CoF. Best wishes, Mick gold (talk) 14:03, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Mick gold, wonderful to hear from you! I'm glad to hear your work is still busy. Busy is a good thing (as long as one has a break once in a while). I'm actually just off a wiki-break myself because life with two young kids gets hectic, but right now my family is back in Japan and I have a couple of weeks' window of free time where I'm Wikipedia go-go-go! (I'm joining them in Japan later for a bit.) I've got some projects I'm excited about and am actually on my way out the door to the library to try to dig up some info in magazines and microfilms for some articles. Hmm, I don't see myself getting really involved in CoF, probably, as it's not a song I'm as interested in as some of his other stuff (and because I already have some other projects on the go). Maybe I can try to have a little look at it, though—I'll see. There is a Dylan project I've been working a bit on, on the backburner right now, which is Together Through Life. It's an album I like a lot, and it has some kinda interesting backstory with My Own Love Song and Robert Hunter, plus since it's from 2009 there is still a heck of a lot of commentary on it online (some collected here [2]), so I'm optimistic I can manage really well-developed Songs section. But yeah, that's a bit on the backburner right now because I've gotten excited about some other projects I'm working on. I hope you're doing well, and I'd be interested to hear about your latest documentaries when you get a chance. Take care, Moisejp (talk) 16:10, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
OK, Good luck with all your wiki projects and have a good break in Japan. Best, Mick gold (talk) 04:59, 6 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Moisejp, I'm curious if you have an opinion about this? [3] Best, Mick gold (talk) 09:46, 14 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request for FAC Help[edit]

Hello again! I apologize for always messaging you. I hope that I am not too much of a pain for you. I have been having mixed luck during the FAC process. I do not want to sound negative though, as I appreciate receiving constructive criticism, and I will hopefully try to do better in the future. I am considering a FAC for The Beautician and the Beast. If possible, I would greatly appreciate any comments and/or suggestions prior to the nomination to hopefully be successful with the process. I understand if you do not have the time or energy. I hope you are having a wonderful start of your week! Aoba47 (talk) 04:46, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Aoba47, how are you? Don't worry, I consider you a friend, and it never bothers me when you ask for help or feedback. I'll be honest with you when it happens I don't have time to review, so don't worry about asking. I understand that right now you feel like you're in a bit of a rut and I saw how your last nomination ended. I'd like to try to help you by giving you good feedback on The Beautician and the Beast if I can. Would you like to start a peer review for the article, maybe that'd be a good way for me to give feedback? Moisejp (talk) 07:11, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you for the response! I will start a peer review for the article later in the week. Hope you are doing well! Aoba47 (talk) 20:05, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Pod[edit]

As a pixies fan since, ahem, 1988 (yes, old!) thanks mightily for putting the Breeders back on my heavy rotation list. As an ex-bass player, Kim WAS the pixies.[4] The article seems to be going well for you, and I know is in safe hands. Thanks also for the comments on the Ingres' article; it will be next weekend by the time I have implemented your suggestion re lead/body. Ceoil (talk) 07:38, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks, Ceoil! Yes, Pod is my current project, though it's going slowly as I haven't had a lot of time. You may or may not have seen I'm working on a Songs section in my sandbox. In August when I was looking for new sources I found a vintage Melody Maker article in the microfilms at the library which has heaps of info to add, just need time to work it all in. I'll let you know when it's ready for peer review, in case you're interested in looking at it then. As you may have guessed I'm a huge Breeders fan (I like Deal-era Pixies too, but haven't had a chance to listen to them much lately), and am happy if you've appreciated my work. I'm looking forward to reading your updates to the Ingres article. Cheers, Moisejp (talk) 16:57, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes am following the sandbox work, and going back over the tunes as you develop it. Re: vintage Melody Maker article; the real joy of this place isnt pressing save - its finding hard to get or long lost sources. Would be delighted it you pinged me for PR, will promise to be not so much of a hard ass :). Ceoil (talk) 23:22, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks again, Ceoil—that's really motivating, and makes me want to get off my butt and finish Pod once and for all! By the way, I didn't get a chance to tell you, but while it's true you may have been a tiny bit hard on me in your WTRF review, you pushed me to take the article to the next level, and I appreciated that—it was definitely better thanks to your comments; I also had your WTRF feedback in mind when I was preparing Breeders Tour 2014 for FAC. OK, I'll be in touch with you again hopefully soon, if I can succeed in getting my momentum back on Pod—fingers crossed! (But in the meantime of course I'll be looking at Ingres again soon whenever it's ready.) Moisejp (talk) 01:37, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It took me several hundred edits to post my first tranche of comments; eh, sorry about that. You mentioned scans - if you have handy can you send on pls; on a nostalgia trip after reading the page. If not no problem; can dig out and have a sub to rock's back pages. Either way, certainly I will be doing the source review when it gets to FAC. Ceoil (talk) 03:02, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Moisejp. How are things with your good self? BTW, Kailash29792 and I have listed this article about a 1959 cult classic film in Tamil cinema for peer reviewing with the intention of preparing it for FAC and subsequently taking it to FA. Your constructive comments would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.  — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 05:24, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Ssven2, I'm well thanks, and hope you're well too. I will try my darnedest to look at it for you, but November may be a busy month so I can't absolutely promise. Take care and good luck with the article either way! Moisejp (talk) 06:22, 5 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi Ssven2, I’ve started reading the article. I hope to get in more reading and get in some comments soon. Moisejp (talk) 16:07, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's cool, Moisejp. Go through the article and give it as much of a thorough review as you can possibly do so. Don't wanna get butchered at FAC, lol.  — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 16:18, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Moisejp, Long time, no speak! I hope all is well with you. You popped into my head tonight as I'm just getting ready to pop off to Camden to see the Pixies. It's been a couple of years since I last saw them, and I'm looking forward to it greatly. Cheers - SchroCat (talk) 17:34, 3 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Gavin, how are you? Yes, I remembered you mentioning the concert where you saw them a couple of years ago. How was the show two nights ago? Coincidentally, the article I'm working on now, Pod (The Breeders album), mentions the Pixies in a few places, and I was actually planning to ask if you'd be interested in looking at it when I bring it to PR in the near-ish future. But there's one section—Reception—that I still want to add to and rework quite a bit, and I'm going to be quite busy in November, so it could easily be still a few weeks before I get it to PR. I'll ping you then, and if you have time and interest, your feedback would be very much appreciated. Cheers, Moisejp (talk) 06:36, 5 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, all is good thanks. Good gig, although a very odd video piece to open it! I'd be delighted to have a look over Pod when it gets to PR - just let me know when you're ready and I'll have a look over it. Cheers - SchroCat (talk) 14:13, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Message[edit]

Hello again. Apologies for messaging you a lot as of late. I hope you are doing well. I wanted to let you know that I revised the "Inspired" article to hopefully address the structural issues identified during the FAC, and I added a few additional sources. I believe it has improved overall, and I should have done a more thorough job before putting up a premature nomination. I intend to take a break from Wikipedia. until at least the end of the year, for my own mental health. I greatly appreciate your advice and friendship. Whenever I do return in the future, I would ideally like to do a peer review for the "Inspired" article before reattempting a FAC. I was wondering if you could provide any insight when that time comes. I completely understand if you would prefer not to. Either way, good luck with the Pod article. Aoba47 (talk) 03:56, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Aoba47, how are you? No worries about the messages. Sure, I can certainly do a peer review for "Inspired" when you're ready. After that about whether or not I review the article again for the subsequent FAC, let's wait and see, but no worries either way, ok? :-) In the meantime, do try to have a good rest and try to get well, and make sure you feel ready before coming back. I'm telling you that as a friend who is concerned about your mental health. Whether it's for "Inspired" or for a future FAC, there's invariably going to sometimes be either some opposes or comments that you don't agree with. When you start an FAC nomination, and put your work out there for all to see and make comments about, you need to be sure you're ready for whatever constructive criticism may come. When you're considering the timing for when to come back, have a good think about how strong and ready you feel. And when you are there at FAC and such difficult suggestions or opposes come, try not to add unnecessary gravity to the situation. If obstacles come towards an article's promotion, try to think of it as just one step in a longer process. It may be corny and a cliché, but can I quote these words from the old Jimmy Cliff reggae song "You Can Get It If You Really Want": "Rome was not built in a day, Opposition will come your way, But the harder the battle you see, Is the sweeter the victory." One may think these words simplistic, but anyone would agree there's some truth in them. In the grand scale of things, if you face opposition at FAC, it's not the end of the world, and if you engage in good faith with your opposers (who are not out to get you, so no need to take opposition personally) and keep working at it, you'll eventually get there. Best wishes, Moisejp (talk) 21:18, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Watching The River Flow[edit]

Dear Moisejp,

My name is Eddie Korvin and I engineered the 1971 Dylan sessions at my studio, Blue Rock, in New York City.

In September, you deleted information about the unreleased rehearsal songs and the order of the two released songs that I recorded. These revisions have been restored and the accuracy can be corroborated by the official Dylan archive in Tulsa Oklahoma where the physical tape (and other session information) is housed.

I mean no disrespect to your work on the WTRF page but I'm think the history should be as factual as possible. Best wishes,

Eddie K Eddie korvin (talk) 19:29, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Eddie Korvin and Bolígrafo. I hope you both see this message. First of all, Eddie, may I say it's an honour to be in contact with you who were there in the studio engineering the wonderful song that is "Watching the River Flow". Also, I want to thank you for reaching out to me. Bolígrafo, when you first made your changes originally, instead of me just changing them back, I should have reached out to you and engaged with you, and I regret that I didn't.

The main reason I reverted your first batch of edits that you did back in July is that you didn't source the information to any references, but in your recent edits, I see you did, so that's great. I'm really glad to have your input via your access to sources that I didn't have access to, and that you were able to correct what was apparently incorrect information in the article.

By the way, if we were to add a sentence that Eddie Korvin was the engineer, I assume we would be able to use the source "Written Interview: Blue Rock Studio Dylan Sessions"? Maybe we could add it between the sentences "Russell assembled a backing group that included Carl Radle on bass, Jesse Ed Davis on guitar, and Jim Keltner on drums" and "On the first day in the studio, Dylan, on acoustic guitar and vocals, led the band through a rehearsal jam that included covers of..."

Incidentally, could you tell me what format "Written Interview: Blue Rock Studio Dylan Sessions" is in (book, pamphlet,...)? Does it have any pages numbers? Moisejp (talk) 04:50, 23 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Moisejp, thanks for your message, and sorry for the delayed response. Eddie got your message, too, and really appreciated it. Eddie's interview stored at the Bob Dylan Archive is actually called "Bob Dylan at Blue Rock Studio, NYC Details of 1971 multiple recording sessions by engineer and studio owner, Eddie Korvin" - I just updated the WTRF page with that info. The format of that source is probably best described as a pamphlet, and it does not contain page numbers as far as I know. Certainly makes sense to use that source to add a mention of Eddie as engineer if you think that is appropriate/relevant. I also do know that there should be an article coming out in the UK about Eddie (including his work with Dylan) in the next few weeks that could be a useful source (that will also be accessible on the internet, unlike the material held in the Bob Dylan Archive). Bolígrafo (talk) 22:34, 13 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yo[edit]

None more Gothic Seasons Greetings
Wishing you all the best for x-mass, hope it's a time of cheer. Looking forward to getting back to POD in the New Year. Ceoil (talk) 22:13, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yo, buddy, yo! Thanks so much for the season's greetings and the very nice stained glass window pic! Also, I was glad to see your Gothic boxwood miniature article promoted. Looking forward to collaborating with you some more in early 2019 on Pod. I hope you don't mind if in the meantime I keep working my way through your list of points with my presumption of what the status of each may be, so I can focus on trying to address what I can. I've been quite busy lately but hope over the Xmas holidays to get caught up on that if humanly possible. I hope the season is festive for you, and we shall talk again soon. Moisejp (talk) 04:04, 23 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think the article is coming along very nicely indeed since I last properly looked about 3 weeks ago, and while this may be a difficult PR, it will hopefully make for an easy FAC, and especially since BLZ is now looking through, I am very much looking forward to the final product. I have very much enjoyed interacting on this. Ceoil (talk) 02:39, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you, Ceoil. I'm glad you think the article is going in the right direction and that you've really enjoyed interacting on it. Thanks again for your interest and contributions on it. I'm also looking forward to seeing the final product, and am dedicated to keep working with you and other reviewers until there's consensus it's ready for FAC. Cheers, Moisejp (talk) 16:16, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You might like.[5] File under freak amazeballs from an otherwise pedestrian band. Ceoil (talk) 13:18, 13 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks, Ceoil, I like it quite a bit! :-) I've never heard of these guys before. Here's two 90s tunes from a couple of artists I've listened to a lot in my lifetime: [[6]] and [[7]]. Maybe you'll like them, maybe you won't. ;-) Moisejp (talk) 04:55, 15 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hey. The overall feel of the song is not exactly the same, but the guitar on the Acetone song you linked to reminds me quite a bit of the guitar on this UO track [[8]]. Moisejp (talk) 18:49, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I love the Westerberg song, whom I had never bothered with before. A cross between Reed's New York and peak Steve Earl. This has been a most rewarding PR for me. Ceoil (talk) 22:35, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Its at FA standard to me, and will have my support, but have made a request for expansion at the PR. Ceoil (talk)
  • Ceoil, so glad you like the Westerberg song. I grew up on the Replacements. One of my most cherished of my many lifetime concert-going highlights was seeing them on their final tour in 1991; I was 18 (drinking age is 19 here), and I looked young, but by some miracle I didn't get ID'd, I got in, and it was an amazing show.
Thank you SO much for all your help on bringing the article this far. Later on today I hope to have some time, and I'm going to go through the PR, see what loose ends there may still be, see if there's anything we need to reach consensus on with BLZ, ping him, and see where it goes from there. I think BLZ didn't get through the whole article yet, so he likely still has comments. Moisejp (talk) 18:11, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes you should ping Brandt. Um, I'm thinking of taking Cut the Crap to PR, maybe next weekend, if you would like the opp to heavily criticize me!! One thing man, I never said I could spell :) Ceoil (talk) 18:15, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sure, I'd be very happy to review Cut the Crap! Let me know when you start the PR. Moisejp (talk) 18:24, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
What strikes me about Westerberg is that hes really just talking, not singing, and just telling it like it is. I had thought that approach was a NYC thing; apart from Reed, Johnny Thunders[9] did the same thing, although maybe from necessity in his case as the bastard could hardly stand, not to mind sing. Ceoil (talk) 19:30, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Not Albini produced, but the first track here [11] is rather good, if a little muddy. I did their wiki page, corresponding at the time, and have the honour of having Büttrich as a FB friend, my only claim to fame :)Ceoil (talk) 21:56, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
