Thanks, NH - I really appreciate that. It's a classy move. I saw the original series of back and forth comments between you - and the direction and tone that was starting to take - and I meant to say something when we were looking at your article a couple of nights ago. I just completely forgot, but really wish I hadn't. Honestly, and I hope this doesn't come across as preachy, the thing I've learned the fastest in my relatively short time here is that it's really important not to take things personally. There are obviously exceptions, but it's not about the contributor or the contributions - it's about the content. Not everyone is going to look at the same content and come to the same conclusion. It's one of the reasons why I so rarely drift into the xfD area. I'll usually only wade in to comment if I hold a position that I think either hasn't been or is being really poorly represented, and then only if I'm confident that I can present an argument that's going to make sense to people. I'll write and rewrite until I get it to say what I want. But the one thing I can't ever do is let it get to me personally, or to get personal toward someone else in my argument. That's the surest way for me to either sabotage my argument, or shut the other person's ears toward it, or both. Thus endeth today's sermon... ;>)
BTW, how's the article from the other night coming along? Mlaffs (talk) 23:11, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
I think why I got so mad was cause I just had an IP do a legal threat on me and then insult me by saying I didn't care about people with disabilities (I have Aspergers), so I was riled up and when I seen that I unleashed, only on the wrong person. I will, once my pride settles down, apologize...which should be done. I don't normally let my temper get to me, but that day it did and for that I am sorry.
The other article is coming along nicely. Still needs some work, but I have a good guy working on the rewritting of the history section (a BIG rewrite). He has taken a break as he has other projects going on at the same time, so he is working on other pages. Right now, it is at a standstill, but that is good. Others can take a look and see what they would like to edit to it as well. Once the gentleman working on the history section gets done, then I am going to take it back to Good Article Review and let them have another look (it has been to GAR once and failed). From there, I will figure out how to get A Class Status and then the biggie...Featured Article Status. That one is going to be tough, cause they look over the page with a fine tooth comb. So, I am nearing the end of the journey with that page, I hope. It has been about 2 1/2 years of work and a big push as of late. I just don't know what I will do after it gets completely finished. I will need a new project. :) So that will be interesting. All and all, things are going smoothly. Take Care...NeutralHomerTalk • 23:29, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
