This is the first essay I've written on wikipedia, just some of my views on the style and formatting of articles. Wooyi 00:34, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No offfense Wooyi, but the article itself was almost a parody. I thought it was at first because of the wordiness. I've edited a lot of non-native writing and this one seemed to be in what I call subcontinental English. I don't mean to belittle, but the English should be more standard American or British in my opinion and well written if Wikipedia is to be taken seriously. I know you are at a disadvantage if you are from the Indian subcontinent, but you must improve you're writing I think if involved in the actual generation of text as opposed to more technical aspects of working on Wikipedia. If you are still around and interested, I'll try to hep. Just my opinion, keep up the good work. An Indian writer composed the following: http://ibnlive.in.com/news/theres-far-too-much-pretension-and-pomposity-in-indian-writing-anand-prabhu/316481-40.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jtamad (talkcontribs) 03:13, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This Should Be Expanded and Moved Into Wikipedia Space[edit]

FTR, I think this essay should be expanded (and the failed proposal portion from 13 years ago dropped), and then moved into Wikipedia space. This is a subject worthy of an essay in Wikispace, though this version needs to be fleshed out more.

I may or may not get to expanding it/fleshing it out, but if someone else does in the meantime, I would support a move to Wikipedia space when that happens. --IJBall (contribstalk) 03:22, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
