April 2007[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did to Software development kit, makes it harder to read. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. John Vandenberg 03:50, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

US versus UK spelling[edit]

Hi, thank you for your edits, but I'd like to draw your attention to Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National varieties of English. Because Wikipedia has editors who use different spellings of common words like color/colour and organise/organize, there is the potential for each article to become a battleground. Because of this, these guidelines are in place to reduce or prevent this, so we can all focus on article quality instead of spelling wars. If you feel an article does need to change because of something in the guideline, it would be best to refer to the guideline, rather than calling the other spelling an "error", which has the potential to lead to arguments. Thanks! Notinasnaid 06:28, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:Star Wars. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. WLU 13:25, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How do I answer you? Michael Hodgson 06:48, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you click on the blue links just before time/date, it'll take you to a user page. Click on the discussion tab at the top. THat'll take you to a talk page. Click on the plus sign also at the top. That'll add a new section heading at the bottom of the page. Put in a title in the little box above, then write what you want in the big white box. Sign with four tildes (~~~~) which you've apparently already figured out, and save. You may also want to read WP:TALK, the talk page guidelines. Very handy for communicating on talk pages. For instance, it tells you how to indent to separate your comments, which I just did for you on this page above. WLU 13:31, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You may not get very kind replies, considering your pushing for Star Wars being considered historical. Also, don't add external links to disambiguation pages, as you did to FSO. WLU
