Genetically modified viruses[edit]

Hi Max.

Your changes look good. I would just copy your sandbox version over the current one, leaving the original categories though. Leave a detailed edit summary when you do so. I sg=hould warn you that the whole area of GMOs is under a thing we call discretionary sanctions. Basically in the past we have had a lot of disruption in this area which has lad to a case at Wikipedias highest level of arbitration which eventually resulted in an unique request for comment over the health aspects of GMOs. I will leave you a standard link about this. It doesn't imply you have done anything wrong, especially as you have not actually edited the main pages yet, but does let you know what you may be in for. Personally as a new user I would recommend starting in areas less volatile, although it has been relatively quiet for a while now. We do need fresh editors in this area, especially ones looking to edit beyond the are they safe/dangerous aspect, so I wish you luck and feel free to visit my talk page or leave a message at an articles talk page if you want any help. This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in genetically modified organisms, commercially produced agricultural chemicals and the companies that produce them, broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hi Aircorn. Thanks for the advice and links you sent. I have tried to follow what you said, in making modest advancements on what is basically on the framing of the page. Hopefully this will aid both readers and people who want to advance the page in the future. I can see some factual inaccuracies lower down in the page, but will leave them for the moment. Thanks and please do say where I might have created rather than moved towards resolving issues. Cheers Maxj27 (talk) 20:25, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
