About unavailable links[edit]

Hi! Thank you for marking a reference in Display resolution as unavailable. I wanted to quickly note two things:

  • The proper way to mark an unavailable source is using the Dead link template. Not only will this add an appropriate notice to the page, it will also add the link to a category where other editors can find it and potentially fix it.
  • There are numerous ways for fixing an unavailable link. In this case a quick search at https://web.archive.org produced an archived copy, which I've added to the article. You may want to attempt those methods next time before deciding the source is, as you put it, "irretrievable".

Thanks again for your contributions to Wikipedia! Best regards, Indrek (talk) 04:21, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the information. I will use the template the next time I find a dead link.
