Greetings!
My name is Ryan, and it's my pleasure to welcome you, Martin925, to Wikipedia! First of all, I'd like to thank you for joining the project, and contributing to articles and discussion. I hope you can continue to take part in Wikipedia, because we need more valuable editors like yourself.

If you are new and need some assistance, here are some great links to check out:

I hope you enjoy editing here, and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, find out where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Before I go, here's one more tip. When you post on talk pages, be sure to sign your name and the date by typing four tildes: ~~~~. That automatically generates your username and the date. Again, welcome, and happy editing!  --King of All the Franks 04:00, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there! I saw that you've contributed to the Yellowcard page. I've been working hard all weekend to get it into an encyclopedia-worthy article, and I think we're almost there!

There's a short list of things that still need some work at the bottom of the talk page. If you could take a look at it, maybe add more things to do, or clean up whatever you see needs work, I would sure appreciate it.

Thanks for your help. Have an awesome day! Cathryn 10:12, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Redirecting[edit]

Hi, I saw your question regarding redirecting. Normally you just create an article and type "#REDIRECT [[Name of article you want to redirect to]]". Wikipedia:Redirect explains this in more depth. Hope that was what you wanted to do. Cheers, jacoplane 21:28, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, Jacoplane here has beaten my to answering your inquiry.  :) --Merovingian - Talk 22:48, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Devices in Agatha Christie's Novels[edit]

Martin,

Many apologies for not replying to your query but I was using Wikipedia without being logged in and didn't realise, so didn't pick up the message. I created that article myself while reading through the Poirot books, so there was no source. Others kindly added the Miss Marple references to bring it up to standard. --Sordel 15:39, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Holly Brook from Fort Minor.jpeg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Holly Brook from Fort Minor.jpeg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:17, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
