ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:52, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

My pleasure. The image is, of course, one that you took. Oronsay (talk) 23:22, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi @JarrahTree: I am assuming you are referring to the note I put on Australian biota about the usefulness of cite Q?? MargaretRDonald (talk) 02:02, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

Laura A. Katz

The Wikilink Barnstar
Damn, you've been a busy beaver all day. Thanks for linking Laura A. Katz all over Wikipedia! HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 22:04, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks @HickoryOughtShirt?4: I am loving {{cite Q}} as it allows one to work on the wikidata article item quite separately from its use, and they have now developed it so that should an enwiki article exist and an author of an article has been identified to author (and not just an author name string), those authors will get an automatic link to the article. And it seems to me a terrible pity if a notable person is not linked to the work they have done. So {{cite Q|Q21090155}} produces:Laura Wegener Parfrey; Erika Barbero; Elyse Lasser; Micah Dunthorn; Debashish Bhattacharya; David J Patterson; Laura A Katz (December 2006). "Evaluating support for the current classification of eukaryotic diversity". PLOS Genetics. 2 (12): e220. doi:10.1371/JOURNAL.PGEN.0020220. ISSN 1553-7390. PMC 1713255. PMID 17194223. Wikidata Q21090155.{{cite journal}}: CS1 maint: unflagged free DOI (link) (for very little work at all). MargaretRDonald (talk) 22:15, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
