America's Qualification[edit]

One quibble: if Bermuda should happen to beat Paraguay, they will not have an opportunity to qualify for the 2013 Consur A tournament (Brazil and Paraguay will play a promotion/relegation match regardless) and will have to play Chile and Uruguay (assuming they beat Brazil) apart from Consur A. However, it's so unlikely that it's not worth making the page any more complicated. One other thing is that I'm not sure that the 2013 Consur A table necessarily determines the qualifying picture. What isn't perfectly clear is whether the games involving Argentina (we can safely assume Argentina will win all the games...but by how much is the question) will also apply towards qualifying. It's unfortunate that the IRB cares so little about qualification that they allowed such an awful an unclear format. My Dinner With Andre The Giant (talk) 17:49, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My understanding is that should Bermuda beat both Paraguay and Brazil, they would compete in the CONSUR A division. I notice in the past that Costa Rica, who would be more closely aligned with NACRA than CONSUR, have competed in the CONSUR championships, although there is no rugby organisation for central America (NACRA covers North America and the Caribbean, while CONSUR covers South America).Magpieram (talk) 22:10, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I just gave a more detailed response on the discussion page for that article, as someone else questioned the Bermuda to Consur issue. As I said there, a lot of what I've been able to figure out has been from reading the message boards at http://www.fira-aer-rugby.com/forum2007. If you don't already go there, since you seem to be interested in lower level international rugby you may find it pretty interesting. My Dinner With Andre The Giant (talk) 17:20, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers for that. I've visited the site during the Africa qualifying this year, as I was getting quicker game results than through the CAR or IRB websites, so I will be visiting the site more often now. It will be interesting to see what will happen if Bermuda pull off 2 big upsets in the coming weeks. My guess would be that they would either compete in the tournament, or they would play as a fourth team, with the CONSUR A and RWC Qualifying being kept separate - with CONSUR A only competed between Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Europe Qualification[edit]

I think one thing that would make that page better would be to amend the knockout section such that it is in a bracket format, as we had with Asia Division 2 & 3 this year:

Quarter-finalsSemi-finalsFinal

May 31, 2012

 Thailand37

June 2, 2012

 Iran17

 Thailand22

May 31, 2012

 Malaysia19

 Malaysia89

July 14, 2012

 China0

 Thailand42

May 30, 2012

 India29

 Guam38

June 1, 2012

 Indonesia17

 Guam16

May 30, 2012

 India18

 India34

 Pakistan5

Of course what complicates this is that there is only one game per round (actually, I think the final round last time was a two-match series, but that's neither here nor there...yet), so an entirely new template for a 5 round bracket with all but one game in each round being a bye would have to be created. I made a few stabs at it for the 2011 tournament, but couldn't figure it out. Do you have any idea how that could be done? (I also tried to create something similar for the knockout stages at the 1999 tournament and the Caribbean portion of the Americas qualification for 2011 where Mexico and St Vincent had a preliminary match to reach the main quarterfinal. Again, I mostly just got frustrated.) Thoughts? My Dinner With Andre The Giant (talk) 17:50, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've only really started editing Wikipedia in the last year, so I'm not sure how to do it. I might try some things over the weekend to see if they work, but I normally copy and paste old tables that I find useful. Magpieram (talk) 23:51, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
What about we move the tables and results from the general ENC section, as it currently sits, and move them into the relevant knockout rounds? As in, under Round 1, will include ENC 2D and 2C, Round 2 will include 2B, and so forth. Magpieram (talk) 03:34, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Snake (Rocket Science album) moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Snake (Rocket Science album), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Snake (Rocket Science album), a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:40, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Magpieram. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Snake".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 21:41, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
