A tag has been placed on Dream Land requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Wperdue (talk) 00:16, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Hamakei, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for vandalism. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text Your reason here below; but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Admrboltz (talk) 04:06, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

I am going to Assume good faith. If you have further questions, feel free to talk to me on my talk page, or use the helpme template.

Request handled by: Admrboltz (talk) 04:47, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

No problem. Happy editing. Oh, the bullet points in the very first message are a good place to start for basic policy and article creation guidelines. --Admrboltz (talk) 04:58, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

First: did you take the picture, or is it from a website? In order to use the images on wikipedia they have to be hosted on the server, but we have specific rules on what can and can not be used. --Admrboltz (talk) 03:52, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ahh, okay. So if the image you are trying to use is Example.jpg you would code that as which will produce
I am a caption
. --Admrboltz (talk) 04:10, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What image are you trying to use? --Admrboltz (talk) 04:32, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you find an image you like, like the one I have in above here, you can click on it. The title of the page should be File:Example.jpg. That would tell you the name of the file you want to use, and then you would use Example.jpg as the image name. --Admrboltz (talk) 04:54, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can write about people and places, but you want to make sure that the person or place is considered notable. The article wizard at the top of the page can help you out with the article creation phase. As far as images, if you have taken them yourself, then you can upload them on the Wikimedia Commons as long as you agree to license the image with a free image license, which is explained there. If it is from the web, the image can not be copyrighted, which is most images on the web. If you want to give me the links of the images you are looking at I can help you determine if they are copyrighted or not. And your not a pester :) I told you to ask. --Admrboltz (talk) 05:01, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh... right. File has replaced Image: so if you do it will work but if you do it will not work (of course, dont add the nowiki tags I am adding here to show you the code, just copy and paste how it shows when you view the page. --Admrboltz (talk) 00:20, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The spaces are fine will still work. Oh and its the square brackets, not the curly brackets. --Admrboltz (talk) 00:25, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Heh no problem, you'll get the hang of it :) --Admrboltz (talk) 00:26, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What to write about[edit]

Well, what are you interested in? You can edit existing pages as well; as long as you are able to add sourced information to them. --Admrboltz (talk) 21:07, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Infoboxes :) there are several varaities of them. Infobox Person infobox road, etc. Each template name will tell you how to use them. If you see one you like on a page look for the line {{Infobox foobar and then go to the page Template:Infobox foobar (where foobar is anything). --Admrboltz (talk) 21:34, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Color is usually based on the specific infobox, though the manual of style on colors talks about how color should be used. --Admrboltz (talk) 22:23, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Any time :) --Admrboltz (talk) 22:34, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

You can use to add a reference shell. Inside of this should be a citation template but a basic url Main page will work too. To get the list of references to show up, create a new level two header (==) call it References and then add below it reflist. --Admrboltz (talk) 01:09, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Was it big red text at the bottom? If so make sure reflist is correct (reflist in curly brackets). --Admrboltz (talk) 02:12, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Try <references/> instead. --Admrboltz (talk) 02:18, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I added a test reference to your sandbox and it appears to work. --Admrboltz (talk) 02:19, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the reflist tag goes below the header at the bottom of the page. --Admrboltz (talk) 02:30, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You only need one <references/> tag per page, and yes I did screw up my ref >.<, but would go after each item you are trying to cite. --Admrboltz (talk) 02:35, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't apologize, I am happy to help. --Admrboltz (talk) 02:51, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merging[edit]

If you click on the word Discuss or go to the article's talk page, add why you think it shouldn't be merged. An administrator has to move the article, not everyone can merge. They will look at the reasons listed there, and then make a decision from there. --Admrboltz (talk) 03:47, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, put it on the actual article's talk page. If you pull it up and then hit talk, you can leave the message there, just like you would on my talk page. --Admrboltz (talk) 03:59, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Let me point you at ownership of articles - Wikipedia is based on consensus, and no one "owns" articles. --Admrboltz (talk) 04:09, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ahh *nods* even I've had some of my pages merged into others. Don't worry, you'll find something that will stick :) --Admrboltz (talk) 04:33, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

black hole[edit]

Anything you have to say about black holes should be added to the black hole article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 05:54, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

 • What I have to say does not need to be added to your page. However, there is a redirection on the bottom of the page going to the black hole site. -- Lokiwintergersky (talk) 05:57, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:OWN - it is not my page. Please note the spelling: references. Please learn about how to use #redirect. Please explain why we need a separate page on the creation of a black hole. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 06:06, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You were pointed to WP:OWN some hours ago - have you read it? Why do you continue to talk about "your article" and "my article". In any case, why on earth should black hole be my article - how many edits have I done to it? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 06:21, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest not creating new articles and work to improve the content on existing pages; or create the information in your sandbox and ask me if it could be included in an existing article or if it should be a new article. --Admrboltz (talk) 06:45, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that not because I don't like that you want to help out, but I don't want to see you get into an WP:Edit War. --Admrboltz (talk) 06:50, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
