I agree that there is plenty of evidence that B-P was simply a man of his time. A lot of the wilder claims have been removed from the article on this basis (see the deleted section about Olave changing her appearance to "look like a boy", then look at period fashions for the 1920s with regard to flattened chests and loose clothes), but a couple of editors hide behind the fact that such evidence as you mention is not specific to Baden-Powell (as if he floated around in his own little bubble outside of the universe, so it does not apply to him).

This article also seems to float around in it's own little universe, with it's own distorted version of Wikipedia referencing guidelines being enforced by these couple of editors. That said, several of us have managed to reach a point where each accusation is rebutted - which is a massive improvement on the hack-job that was there last year.

As it stands that whole article is a list of "might possible have" statements coupled to "but appears not to have" replies. It is, in my opinion, an embarassment to Wikipedia created and pushed by an editor (User:Haiduc) whose interest (from his user page) appears to be the promotion and justification of pederasty. Not a forum[edit]

Wikipedia is not a forum for general discussion of the topic. Please make a specific suggestion for the improvement of the article. For instance, a reference to some new scientific study. See also: WP:NOTAFORUM--Harizotoh9 (talk) 20:48, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
