Hi there!

Thanks for removing the tags on the user female template. I hadn't realised that I'd included the wrong tags, and only noticed after you edited the noinclude tags. I've now added the correct one (includeonly) :)

Incidentally, I'm forming a small userbox archive here You would be more than welcome to take a look if it helps. Otherwise, please feel free to ask for help if you need it, either through the instructions above, or by leaving a message on my talk page - Welcome to wikipedia :) Crimsone 03:26, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey[edit]

Pages looks great =P. Nice work on the Userboxes. Feel like changing mine?
Mkdwtalk 10:14, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just noticed you're using my WikiDefcon - glad you like it :) Welcome to Wikipedia! riana_dzasta 10:35, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry - I just realised that you probably haven't been around enough to know what a WikiDefcon even is... *slaps self* Good work on the Vancouver FAC, I added my 2 cents there. It's a good article, I think it should get through. Take care! riana_dzasta 13:06, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Icons[edit]

Go crazy! I'm completely fine with it; after all, this is Wikipedia; we share. :) Oh, I also dug this up and thought you might be interested; in case you don't like an icon, feel free to look in here for some replacements. You could of course upload one yourself but this saves you from the hassle. Cheers and don't be afraid to ask for more help in the future! :D Your friendly neighbourhood mop-head, Master of Puppets The Walrus! 04:19, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: Oh, and you probably noticed; I took the liberty of giving your user and talk pages some headers. Hope it's welcomed, and sorry if it isn't; feel free to shoot them off if they're not. Anyway, cheers again! Master of Puppets The Walrus! 04:35, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's some code that carried over from my header page. It pretty much sits their to take up space; if you remove it things start messing up. I don't know why. Anyway, if you want to, you can convert that into a little function where you press a button and a bit of scripting changes a display on your page from, say, offline to online or vice versa (I've got one on my user page) so that people know where you are. It's just for convenience purposes, mainly. So don't worry, it won't take over your user page (I swear! :O). Master of Puppets The Walrus! 05:22, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Making it into a userbox isn't tricky, but adding the code to your Wikipage is a bit harder. I'll try to help you through it. First step; kill that dragon with a toothpick. In reality, you need to fiddle with your monobook. Changing things in there changes how Wikipedia responds to you; basically, you can add new functions and things, such as the changer. Anyway, copy the stuff from here to this page.

2. Then, put the following into your monobook.js;

inc("User:Lily Towers/statuschanger.js");;

Then, hard refresh; it tells you how at the top of your monobook page; and look in the top right corner of your Wiki-window for some new buttons.

Try these steps, and if everything works, then tell me and we'll fit it all into a userbox. If it doesn't, chances are I forgot a step somewhere and will go find my guide on it. Cheers and good luck (I'll be around for a while more so feel free to ask stuff), Master of Puppets The Walrus! 05:34, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you'd like, I can ask a friendly admin to add it in for you; I'd do it myself but only administrators can edit other user's monobook pages. Master of Puppets The Walrus! 13:16, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, it won't look like anything at the beginning; it's blank by default. You have to create the page, create the statuschanger page, then paste the code I put somewhere above into your monobook. Master of Puppets The Walrus! 13:34, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Vancouver[edit]

Thanks. I think the article is ready for FA status. The objections on FAC are quite ridicolus... ---- Selmo (talk) 05:55, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your userpage[edit]

You have a nice userpage for only being here a day.-- Seadog 19:12, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

Thanks for cleaning up my post on Mkdw's talk page. I didn't know I should have continued the conversation under the same title. I'm kinda new to the talk thing, so thanks for that. I give you my gratitude. =)

Fake block[edit]

You may have noticed a message here announcing that you were blocked (see [1]). The message was a fake one, left by a vandal. You aren't blocked, and never were. FreplySpang 19:26, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Lily[edit]

Haven't spoken to you in ages. When do you come back from the UK? Anywho, since you're not checking your emails, maybe you're checking Wikipedia. Question[edit]

I wasn't sure where to go to ask this, but you seem friendly enough to help out a newcomer; If I click "minor edit" when messing about on my userpage (say, when adding/deleting/moving userboxes) does that cause any moderators, for lack of a better word, to have to check that edit? I wouldn't want to disrupt Wikipedia anymore than I have to just to express myself. Thank you. Castitus (talk) 19:14, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for coming out of retirement. See you tomorrow at Cypress. Mkdwtalk 18:05, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New 10,000 Challenge for Canada[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
