This user registered last Sepember and never edited. While it is a violation and should be blocked, there's really no immediate need for that to happen. I've seen several users from almost a year ago reported and blocked today at WP:UAA. Like I said, it's technically a violation, but is there a reason you are seeking such old violations? Leebo T/C 19:54, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't trying to seek an old violation, I just happened to find it via Special:Listusers. However, I'll try to only make reports of recent violations from now on. Cheers, Mystytopia 20:01, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you just happened upon it, there's really no big deal. Seeking them out would be a bit less productive. Leebo T/C 20:50, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

10 minutes it is! :)[edit]

attack on clawed[edit]

I didn't attack Clawed as you said I did on my talk page.

I asked him if he was the star of Image:penis_corrected.jpg because it is a popular image on Wikipedia and he was the author (at the time I asked) on the image information sheet.

--75.100.5.254 19:14, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about accusing you of personal attacks, it just looked like to me that you were attacking him by calling him a penis. Also, thanks for fixing the typo on my userpage. Cheers, Lights 21:59, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for the smile Lights. I did not expect it. By the way, I don't think we have been properly introduced, I'm The Random Editor. Didn't you recently request a username change? More subpages that need to be added.[edit]

I found more subpages made by FonzieBaby, I wasn't sure how to add them so I just listed them in my comment here: Wikipedia:Miscellany_for_deletion#Subpages_of_FonzieBaby. RobJ1981 18:24, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. You have earlier noted the recurrent edits by User:208.104.45.20. (He has previously blanked the page in question and was blocked for 3RR violation at the page.)

He is gutting material on the foreign language influence upon the speech of that region. Repeatedly he is raising geographic arguments about Sheboygan. All of Wisconsin is in the North Central American English region, not the Inland American English region. I am in good faith trying to have a dialogue with him. I have repeatedly posted queries in the edit comment box and on the Talk Page as to why he is removing material on the foreign language influence upon speech in Wisconsin. Please intercede on this matter. I am weary of this edit war. You'll note that no other editor is contentious with the content that I am restoring, and that this & Inland English are virtually the only topics that he is editing. 3R Ben Bledsoe page[edit]

Thanks for the heads up. I wrote another user yesterday but Im in need of some help with the Ben Bledsoe page and pages related to it (particularly Natural and the ones that link off that). There's a spammer who has been putting an unencylopediac blog like edit to these pages and I've been trying to keep the pages clean (since I created most of them). I tried reporting the vandalisim but I must have done it wrong because no protection has been taken. Im really wanting a 'registered users only' template on there but apparently Im no good at requesting. Could you be of any help? Thanks --Thegingerone 00:48, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You can try requesting page protection at WP:RFPP. Cheers, Lights 03:31, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal[edit]

User DIREKTOR is a vandal; needs block him for a lot of WP:3RR in foibe massacres, talk:Foibe massacres and Josip Broz Tito. He is a troll (Internet): you can read talk:Foibe massacres and user talk:Clap. He is specially communist fanatic of communist dictator Broz. LEO —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 151.33.95.209 (talk)

Sorry, but I'm not an administrator, so I can't block users. However, you can warn DIREKTOR about violating 3RR using the {{subst:uw-3rr}} template, and if he continues, I think you may want to report him to WP:AN3. Cheers, Lights 03:35, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

May you insert in properly manner the report about user:DIREKTOR to WP:AN3? I attempted but not in correct manner because I have technical problems because my computer does not visualize numbers of URL and I posted this report

No, because my computer does not visualize URL, do I explained? But with informations about dates and hours in my last message you can control diffs and you can report easy, if you want. Regards, LEO —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 151.33.88.157 (talk)

Hmmm, I don't think reporting him is appropriate right now, since he seemed to have stopped violating 3RR (see Special:Contributions/DIREKTOR). However you can watch his contribs, and if you see him violating 3RR again, let me know. Also, please sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~). I cannot sign using tildes because I am unlogged for problem of cookies. When i will solve problems of my computer, I will log in and report 3RR in correct manner. I advice an administrator too who blocking him. Regards, LEO 18 July

May I just point out that this person has been recently blocked for disrupting articles: Zadar, History of Dalmatia and Istrian exodus which were then also protected (now semi-protected). He was posting there as an unregistered user. He also made several offensive and rude comments including gloating when an adming protected the pages leaving his disruptive reverts which he saw as victory. The main problem is he himself and he is avoiding his 24h block made by Isotope for his diruption. As for Direktor perhaps he did broke 3RR but that was done in good faith, reverting this person's reverts. He ("Leo") is the main root of the problem not Direktor. Regards. --No.13 21:46, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User No.13 is an other fanatic like as DIREKTOR. IP blocked by Isotope is of an other user insulted by these communists! I don't understand block against him because his edits are valid! You can read user talk:Isotope23#Propaganda. Regards, LEO 18 July 2007

Hi, can I have a say in this? Look these guys are IP vandals and have refused on numerous occasions to participate in civilized discussion on the matters in question. They/he have also violated the 3RR several days ago as you can see on the history pages. Neither I nor No.13 have been blocked, on the contrary if you take a look at the articles he mentioned you can see they have been semi-protected by Isotope23 after a brief full-protect that he placed in order to take a closer look into the matter. He decided, as I'm sure you will as well, that this is not a POV edit war, but a case of disruptive IP reverting. For the short time the articles were fully blocked, this LEO guy actually started gloating because his version happened to be the last one. He is personally involved in the matter, is prone to disinformation and anything he says should be taken with a grain of salt. As for my breaching the 3RR rule, I truly appologise, it will not happen again. Thank, you DIREKTOR 09:42, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In regard to User talk:Ubersmackgames, while discouraged, users are explicitly allowed to remove warnings from their talk pages: Wikipedia:User page#removal of warnings says: "Policy does not prohibit users from removing comments from their own talk pages, although archiving is preferred. The removal of a warning is taken as evidence that the warning has been read by the user. Deleted warnings can still be found in the page history." Thus such edits are not vandalism, and should not be reverted. This also applies to a user blanking his or her own talk page. This is explicitly allowed, is not vandalism or disruptive editing and is not a reason to block the editor. DES (talk) 18:33, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why the change in conservation status re: emperor penguins[edit]

Yes, I was wondering. Why the change back to normal status for the emperor penguin? I fixed the article before I registered to whats happening now, and it's pretty set in stone. You can even look it up. I checked my sources, and I even left a link where it was supposed to be. It wasn't vandalism. Hey, it was even in the New York Times!
