Flea

hi i'm new here , i just wrote 2008 a new found talent and if you read it you will find that flea has experimented with metal . i didn't want to mess up your page i just know he plays the drums and has worked with metal . also i felt that they need a new picture and i'm sorry for playing with it and messing it up . really please think about changing the picture , also flea is actually 50 years old . thanks so much and i don't know if you are the administrator of the article and if your not please pass what i said on to him if you know him . please message me back

i play the bass myself and i have learned about his drum playing through the dvd , in the dvd they have commentary over all the music videos and if you look at hump de bump you will see in a small clip him playing the drums and he talked about how he learned to play , also i suggest for a more recent picture search up fleas name on google images and find his picture from live earth on msn.com great picture of him . don't forget flea is 50 years old , ohh could u work on the new picture i tried to put up —Preceding unsigned comment added by Willchill (talkcontribs) 00:29, 29 May 2008 (UTC) i guess i'm not really going to work on wiki anymore because people don't like my work and keep on yelling at me, it was nice talking to ya , oh and could you make a correction for me , flea is 50 years old now and work on the pic thing, the reason why i'm leaving is because no one believes that he played metal , no one believes he played drums an no one believes my article, and no one will probably let me edit other things[reply]

Somerset towers images

Thanks for your help with the photos on Somerset towers and List of towers in Somerset. I don't have the knowledge & skills (or software) to achieve the improvements you are making. As for which are the key ones, its really about illustrating the features for each group. These articles are really the baby of User:Celiakozlowski & I've been helping with formatting, referencing etc - it would be worth asking her for an opinion on which ones to concentrate on.— Rod talk 07:41, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So glad you can help! I will try to have a quick look at the lead article to see which pictures make the most sense there. It would be great if you could enhance the picture of the Yeovil church (St. Johns?) -- this is believed to be one of the oldest churches. Can the picture of Mary Magdalene (Taunton) be improved? That's top-rated. Maybe the next step would be to improve pix on the tower-Tour page. .. We should have at least one good tower representing each generation -- more if there are multiple good pix. Maybe at that point you can exercise your editorial wings and pick two or three other top pix to have on the lead article... sharp, artistic, clearly showing the tower's features... It's late... I think I'm ramblingCelia Kozlowski (talk) 00:42, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Zotac logo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Zotac logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:45, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
