Wombat name[edit]
Hi there
The title common wombat should not be used anymore. The accepted name for this species is bare-nosed wombat. They are rapidly declining in numbers due to a multitude of factors and persisting in calling them "common" doesn't help conservation efforts
Is there another reason why my edits were reverted?

- The correct and more practical place to argue for a change of name for the Common wombat is on that article's Talk page - Talk:Common wombat. A lot more people will see your suggestion there. Be aware though, that for the name to change in our article, you would need to provide a reliable source for your claim that "The accepted name for this species is bare-nosed wombat".
