VB WikiBook[edit]

I might consider contributing to the VB book later, but right now, I only have time to monitor the wikipedia page and provide some minor tweaks every so often. Thanks for asking, though. wrp103 (Bill Pringle) - Talk 14:16, 30 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Although I've edited the article, it was probably only in a janitorial capacity (i.e., vandal reversion). I'm afraid my programming knowledge is limited at best; but I thank you for contacting me regardless. If I ever bone up on the subject, I'll drop by the wikibook. Best of luck! -- Hadal 03:41, 1 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Any assistance, however seeeming minor, will be gratefully received! --Kjwhitefoot 21:24, 1 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No thanks, I hate Microsoft and any of their products, I believe in free software/open source and freedom. Long live the US Constitution & Bill of Rights. JanusPaul 18:06, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So why bother making so many edits to the VB page? --Kjwhitefoot 22:18, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Absurdity of undergraduate degree[edit]

Re Absurdity of undergraduate degree, I agree with you that the phrase is a misnomer, which I added to the article, but others might try to remove it, so you might want to help me. Korky Day (talk) 21:07, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Category[edit]

Hi there. For info, Category:Alumni of the University of Exeter is intended to be used on biographical articles, not user pages - if you look at the category you will see yourself listed alongside the likes of J.K.Rowling. Can I suggest you use Category:Wikipedians by alma mater: University of Exeter. Alternatively the userbox {{User:Benjaminevans82/Userboxes/Exeter|past}} automatically adds you to this category and displays as

UoExThis user studied/studies at the University of Exeter.

And where is this rule available? If the page is to include only famous or somehow worthy alumni then it should have a title that says or implies that. And a user box that is part of another user's pages seems a little odd, what happens if that user is deleted? I don't have any problem with distinguishing myself from Rowling. Sorry, can't answer that - ask Ben? Note that Category:Alumni of the University of Exeter has no other members who do not themselves have an entry, and that other contributors who choose to identify themselves do so via Category:Wikipedians by alma mater: University of Exeter. Disambiguation link notification for July 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Svelvik, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Venstre (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
