Create an account on DramaWiki and copy your Moeko Matsushita article there (see Tamao Sato's article there). Do this now, so regardless of the outcome on Wikipedia, your article will still be (relatively) safe somewhere. You can develop the article further on DramaWiki with less risk of deletion than on Wikipedia. Wikipedia has strict requirements for articles, and many other wikis are more lenient about articles in their area of topical specialization. A wiki such as DramaWiki wants more articles whereas Wikipedia likes to delete thousands of articles.
Ask User:Kappa to help you with your article (who also started the Tamao Satou article and saved it from deletion). Special:Contributions/Kappa shows many edits to articles relating to Japan.

It looks like Wiki.ThePPN is similar to DramaWiki - both run the same MediaWiki software that powers Wikipedia, but with less zeal to delete articles in their topics of interest. The deletion was nothing personal and it was not meant to spite the great work you put into compiling the list. It's just that the deletion of a seiyu list was decided in this discussion, this was mainly because all of the relevant actors are already listed at Category:Japanese voice actors. I understand that it can be pretty frustrating to find out that someone deleted your article, that is why it is very important to check the logs and possible previous deletions on every new article. Some things concerning "deletion" on Wikipedia[edit]

Nothing that is "deleted" on Wikipedia is permanently gone, it may always be restored by any administrator.
Articles for deletion is not an automatic death sentence, it is a community discussion in which users say whether and article "stays" or "goes" base on Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

In short, even if I was an admin it wouldn't mater, admins don't have the power to wade in and back one party, none the less in the spirit of WP:agf, I will assist you in this mater.

Firstly you can stop the deletion yourself, just prove that the subject is notable enough for an article, from what I have seen its an article on a voice actor, so unless said person has had some mega roles, (think david hayter as solid snake for example), I doubt its notable, also what I recommend you do now is copy all the text of the article, past it into a user sub page and work on it there so that you have a hard copy.--Kerotan ^Sup? I see you've been having some problems with your articles and the eager new page patrollers. The test page is a very considerate idea, taking the time to prepare an article in your userspace will give you time to polish it up before unleashing it to scrutiny. Here are a few ideas about writing biographies:

Keep in mind the advice at Wikipedia:Notability (people)
Include information about the subject's achievements, like any professional awards they might have won or any notable roles they might have played.
Include references from secondary and tertiary sources that discuss the subject. {{findsources}} & {{findsources2}} are very useful tools for this purpose, they can help you find mentions in news archives and other documented literature.
Include a brief biography - if all you have is a list of works then the article basically amounts to a directory entry.

Well, you have a name, date of birth, and filmography. The article doesn't actually tell you anything about the actor or his accomplishments. If you can find some sources that offer biographical details or critical commentary of his work, then I think it would be a keeper. Thats a heaping helping of some complex questions. Luckily, a few editors have crafted a pretty good breakdown at Wikipedia:Practical process. Our goal here is to create an encyclopedia, to do that we sometimes have to sacrifice quantity for quality. Editors have different ideas about how to approach this goal, so policies like notability are instituted for the sake of consistency.

You can challenge any deletion you think is unwarranted at deletion review. If an article is tagged for speedy deletion, you can contest its deletion by removing the tag or by requesting a listing at WP:AFD. Even if an article is deleted, it may be possible to salvage the work put into it by transferring its text and revision history to another wiki. Wikia, for instance, hosts hundreds of wikis on just about any topic and has no policy on notability.

Hello, I'm Atelaes, an en wikt admin. I just wanted to give you a low-down on the reasoning behind the block. Our policy is one of strong avoidance of both misspellings, and redirects. Misspellings create google hits (or something like that, I'm admittedly not terribly tech savvy) and so we try to avoid having entries of any kind for them. And since we distinguish words by spellings, we generally don't have redirects (with a few special exceptions). The blocking admin is a very prolific and capable editor, and we are fortunate to have them around. However, what they have in expertise and productivity, they can sometimes lack in diplomacy. I will admit that I think their block a bit hasty. Unfortunately, they're not on IRC at the moment, and I think it in bad taste to undo your block behind his back, so I'm going to let it stand. I just thought I'd drop you a note letting you know what you did wrong, and hope this experience doesn't sour your taste for en wikt. I'll drop our little welcome on your wikt talk page, as you may find it useful to do a bit of policy reading. Hope tomorrow treats you better than today. It's an alternate account made only to hold the name to prevent someone from taking it because it may be used to impersonate him/her. I'm not about to profess his notability, especially with no real bio information or in-line references, but (from my experience) seiyu articles rarely ever get deleted as long as they look like they are going somewhere and are formatted correctly. They aren't automatically given out - someone has to see a contribution you've made, and think that it's worthy of a barnstar. What are sockpuppets?[edit]

I have a question. When it has to do with Wikipedia, what are sockpuppets?

When someone is using a sock puppet, it means they are using another account in an inappropriate way, such as to give a false impression of having support for a position, mislead others, or to evade a block. While users are allowed to have alternative accounts, it becomes sock puppetry when they use those additional accounts in a secretive manner and to be disruptive. For an example of sock puppetry:

Editor A gets into an edit war over an article, disagreeing with multiple other editors and violating 3RR. He is blocked by an admin for being disruptive. He makes a new account under a new name to return to the article and continue trying to make the same edits. This new account would be considered a "sock puppet" of his first account (and would be summarily blocked).

That's okay. Sometimes I think Wikipedia is a little excessive on the subjective rules, and it can cause problems. I'm not saying you were being excessive. I'm sure just using wikipedia often makes a person subject to all of the subjective rules and it can lead to making people feel crazy! This is from my own experience, even though I don't have much with wikipedia. Too often, I feel, people are reprimanding and criticizing others on the website. I know it has to be a credible encyclopedia and everything, but it goes overboard sometimes. The laws of our countries are generally much more reasonable, but even they are flawed. At any rate, thanks for the smile and I hope you feel better. If something is upsetting you, be active! As requested, I'm responding here, though in the future, you can always just answer here as I currently have your talk page on my watchlist so I will know when you leave a response. That's usually how talk pages work. Most people will keep a talk page they have posted a message to in their watchlists to await a response. For the original message, unfortunately vandalism will likely never be any less of a violation. It always amazes me how many bored people there are who find nothing better to do than just come and deface articles, often in very childish ways. However, giving an anonymous IP a warning about vandalism committed five DAYS ago is not helpful, particularly since an IP may be shared by multiple users. It would be good if other editors would leave warnings when it happens, but many will just undo it and move on. I always leave a warning myself, but not everyone wants to take the time because often such IPs may never do it again or will just ignore the warnings until they are blocked. There are also several vandal bots, however, they can only detect very obvious vandalism, such as page blanking, replacing pages with profane words or content, adding banned links, easily detectable copyright infringement, etc. They can not do much more than that, as if they are made to strict, they would end up reverting many good edits as well. I wish they could. Last night a vandal moved my user pages to a very ugly named page, but a bot can't fix that so had to wait for an admin to undo. It happens, though. Its annoying, but part of editing on Wikipedia is that one must grow a pretty thick skin, and be able to undo, warn if the vandalism is recent (within a few hours), and then just move on.
