Hi, could you please break up your edits more so that other editors can get a clearer view of what you are doing. This is particularly important when you do something like "remove some trivia", as at Cardoon, which I'd like to check that I agree with, but can't decipher the different parts of your edit. Thanks. It was a bit about a chef of minor notability who was advertising the plant (probably paid to do so!). Tricky to break up edits as I only have intermittent access so work offline on each case. - Keteleeria (talk) 14:29, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. That helps. Certainly sounds trivial. I'll ask you about future difficulties if they turn up on my watch list. Nadiatalent (talk) 16:00, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock request[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Keteleeria (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I have no connection to the blocked vandal except for sharing the same shared IP address (Newcastle City Libraries). Please check my contributions, to see my edits have not been associated with any vandalism. I suspect this may apply to other good editors who use the same library, the whole block needs to be reviewed with care. Thank you! Keteleeria (talk) 12:04, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

When we looked at the Malik Peters abuse last week, it wasn't apparent that the range was a public library, and there has already been one false positive; I am satisfied that this is another. Keteleeria, please accept my apologies; we don't mess up in this respect very often, but it unfortunately does happen sometimes. Thanks also to TParis and Anthony for their input. Before I attempt to make a case for you, could you please explain how it is that you created your account in 2009 but did not use it until this year? --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 12:29, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I might be missing something - your edits could well have been made from a public library, but how do you know which IP the 'sockmaster' was editing from? Peridon (talk) 12:40, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If you do not respond within 48 hours I intend to decline this request, on the basis that reasonable questions have not been answered, which in my personal view strengthens the case for a block. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:19, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As discussed at the top of the page, this user rarely logs on. I can confirm that the edits made from this signon are good ones. Nadiatalent (talk) 22:53, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Anthony - as mentioned, I don't log on very often, but have been increasing my edits a bit. I found the editing process very complex at first (no end of previews on that first one before it stopped shouting red "cite error" and things like that at me) but getting a bit more confident now, so doing more. I only tend to edit on pages that I happen on which have bad errors on, most pages I just let be. Peridon - when I was trying to find out how to appeal against this block, I found that the Library's IP number page had been blocked with the same reason given, so I concluded that the vandal was editing from it too. - Keteleeria (talk) 14:10, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. Peridon (talk) 17:38, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This all makes sense to me. Per AGK's comment Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/MalikPeters/Archive, I am going to get a checkuser to confirm this user is connecting from a public network and if that is the case then I think it would be reasonable to unblock.--v/r - TP 15:15, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for contacting me. I looked into it again and this seems like a false positive. I've unblocked. AGK [•] 16:24, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Watchlist request[edit]

Hi, I've added the three pages as you request, and have made an edit on one of them. More to come, particularly since I'm working on a policy for WP:PLANTS about synonyms, but it might take a few weeks to get that policy installed. Nadiatalent (talk) 14:20, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
