Thanks for contributing to the Augmentative and alternative communication article! Several of us are working to improve it up to becoming a Featured article. I'm really glad you added a source for your information -- lots of newcomers don't know to do that. I cleaned up the formatting, so the reference shows up in proper format, but having a DOI is really all we need.

If you have other information to contribute to the article, we'd love to have it! We're discussing a number of issues at Talk:Augmentative and alternative communication, especially at the "Read through" and "Source Potentially of use" sections. Welcome (again) to Wikipedia! Your draft at User:KateJardiniere/draft is a good start, and I'll be glad to help with formatting and Wikipedia policy.

It's smart to start out in a subpage, as you've done, so that the article isn't deleted before you're ready. The main reasons why articles get deleted here are (a) the subject doesn't meet our notability standards, (b) there aren't any reliable sources used in the article, or (c) the text is plagiarized from a copyrighted source. It looks the subject is notable, and you've already added some good sources, so it's probably going to work out fine. We just need to make sure the article is of a reasonable length, is formatted right, has good sources, and isn't copied directly from those sources.

There's a lot to learn when you first start editing Wikipedia, and it can be overwhelming to try to learn it all at once. It may be good to look at some high quality artistic biographies on Wikipedia, such as Bronwyn Bancroft or Dave Stamper to see how those articles do things.

I've cleaned up your draft a lot. If you click "View history" on the page, you can see the various changes that I made. For instance, with this edit I added several wikilinks. With this edit, I created an introductory sentence, so the reader can know instantly who she is and why she is important.

This next edit is very important: in it I changed the references to use <ref> tags, so that individual statements are sourced. Notice how the first time I cite a source, I use the format <ref name="whatever">url.com</ref>. When I later want to use the same reference, I only use the format <ref name="whatever" />. If you add more statements from these or other sources, you can reference them in the same way.

I made several other changes, which you can view in the history. I'm sure you'll want to add more information from these two references, and maybe from other references as well. But it should only need another sentence or two before you move it into article-space, at Anneliese von Oettingen. I can help with that too, if you like. Thank you so much for your help with the formatting of my draft. Also, the links you provided for examples were very helpful. I will still need some assistance I think in formatting ref tags and getting the references to look right. By the way, I have nominated the article for the "Did You Know" section on the Main page. It was reviewed here, and the reviewer (Hassocks) verified the article and approved it!
